Thank you so much Alpa. That is terrible treatment by the council. Thankfully we still have some good dog wardens out there who do their very best to reunite dogs and owners. Some just do their jobs worth within the guidelines whilst others go above and beyond. Its not that far in a car and I am very glad you were there to help. Ah bless him! He'd obviously had a lot to deal with and stressed out. Well done! It's always nice to find the rescuers and say thank you. x
Alpa
It was my pleasure.
To add to this the council refused to drive him to Epping, saying its out of their area. They said they will take him to kennels and keep for 7 days to allow owner to claim him. I said she is unable to do this. In the end I asked my son to drive him there, rightfully. I would hope if my dog is ever lost, god would help him find his way to a caring person too.
All ended well. He was very hyper.. lol

Alpa, so very glad Titch found you! Phew! Actually, Ilford is a fair way from Epping for the poor dog. Wonder how he got there? I am so very glad he found someone caring as yourself. Thank you also Jkalsi for letting us know as soon as you could. What wonderful news! Poor Titch, so distressed - it must have been a nightmare for him as well as owner. Well done and thank you. xxx

Oh that is brilliant news. Can you please let us know when he has been reunited with his family.
Jkalsi
We found Titch near Ilford. He followed my mum home while she was walking our dog. The owner has been alerted. He seems very distressed and keeps crying and barking. Hes now just sitting in the garden with my labrador Leo.

Ohhh, are there posters up, do we know Debs? I will try and get out there. Not quite clear on if Titch was barking why owner did not get him? Was he not free to stay there? This is really weird. Is there a crime number? CJ could speak to police. Debs can you pm me the road or location of owner's house if you know it as I could take a look around there incognito.

This is a serious crime, so hope the police find the theft very quickly...will tweet poster appeal xx
Debs
Owner heard Titch barking outside her bedroom window this morning around 7.30am, police have been informed
Debs
I agree Titch does look very lab too

Its a hard one because he looks very lab like but also facial features are of boxer maybe put boxer x lab that way others description could be either as don't want to miss him if he gets spotted xxxxx

I'm saying lab, because I think this fur baby looks more lab like. Does anyone think we need to make the poster "lab cross" for easier identification? Or is boxer cross okay? Thanks.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
The police station is in the High Street and the rear of it is a road between the rear of the shops and the housing estates. Quite a well off area at the back. I am thinking a) is this someone who knows this owner and is being nasty due to disability (it does happen) or b) is it an undesirable who wanted a lab? We need loads of posters up in and around Epping. I can't get out there myself for a couple of days but time is of the essence. Hoping the photo below is a good omen?! ls keep us posted Debs. x

Spoken to owner who has a speech impediment so communication is better via text. I will update a photo once she has sent one over.
