- I'm sorry that the owner or owner's friends didn't see the post on Market Drayton Crier
- really hope that this Spaniel stays safe within confinements of his home/garden - that is a very busy road & would hate anything bad to happen to him - 2014-08-06 10:27 Goldenfrodo

- Got a result on this one. I went on the knocker this morning in the small estate nearest the place I found the dog. Somebody told me there was a local springer expert (breeds 'em I think) and I left a note there. Got a call from him this evening saying he knows whose dog it was. The owner then called, and it seems very certain it's the same pooch (right breed, 14 years old, lives 200 yards from the roundabout where I found the dog, turned up missing the same night I found him). The owner will imminently be in touch with the local dog warden and at least one of these missing doggies will be getting his fireside back very soon. :)

- FAO admin et al - His current residence is indeed in Shropshire County Council Dog Warden Kennels, where at least he's safe.
PS: I put him down as "spaniel cross" because I didn't know what else to put. He's mainly springer (see photos now uploaded), as I understand it, but wouldn't know what percentage.
He's a lovely affectionate old thing and I really hope it works out for him. Poor little ****** was wandering around the white line at quarter to midnight in the middle of a busy trunk road (I had to flag one car down to prevent him being hit there and then, as stated, he doesn't see too well due to cataracts).Last edited: 2014-08-04 15:00:41 by emgee - 2014-08-04 11:02 #stoppettheft
