Just got poster faxed to Clayhill Vets but they were not sure. Phoned Novem and terrier they have is more a Westie type cross - light coloured all over (with no white bib under chin) and also has a tail that is not docked. So fairly sure not little Bexley :( Called Anna to let her knowLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Young (Or so the vet believes) blonde terrier type bitch found in Basildon, Essex today. Pointy ears & longish coat. She is very friendly & sweet natured, matted & tangled so may have been lost for some time. Was wearing a black harness with white bone pattern but has no collar nor is she chipped. We have taken her to the local vet (Clayhill Vets 01268 284281) who has passed her to the dog warden to take to local kennels (possibly Novem on the A127).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Definately worht give a poster to all the vets in and around the area making sure they register her microchip number as lost/stolen. If someone has her at some point sh'l make a trip to the vet and hopfeully that why you'l get her back :) Keep us up to date :) Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yeh, postered all around there. Bit odd though the manager of the Tesco's checked his cctv footage and there was nothing on there of any help. Maybe Santa has her and will put her down my chimney at Xmas!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have the posters been put out around that Tesco and that area? Any more news? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've had a big breakthrough but this situation is still fairly hopeless. A guy called me over the weekend saying that he had definately seen Bexley who had manged to get herself to the next town/village (Shenley/Radlett)Tesco's and there two young girls had picked her up and asked him what they should do with her. He advised them to take her to the local vet or call the RSPCA (this was the Sunday that she went missing, early evening). At which point an RSPCA officer turned up (not on a call out but I guess just passing through) so he thought that it would be resolved and went on his way. Unfortunately Bexley still seems to have disappeared off of the face of the planet! I am on to the RSPCA in quite a big way and am appalled that she would have been content to leave a lost dog in the hands of a pair of teenagers on a Sunday night. I have also been in contact with the local paper to see if they could run some kind of appeal that would cover that area. Anyway that's our news for the moment!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, sadly no news of any significance as yet. There was a possible siting in Welham Green on the Sunday she went missing by the kennels there and I got a call from someone on Monday night saying that they may have seen a dog like her in Gobians Wood on Saturday just gone. Have postered and not sure what else to do. Brookmans park is too residential for someone to have not picked her up. And i can't beleive she is camping out somewhere??? Any ideas would be great. Thanks for postering.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Rabbits can be very tempting to chase for some Terries, my Bedlingtons used to disappear in a flash if they happened to see one. Might be worth going back to the place where he went missing to see if she returns there. Hope Bexley is safely home soonxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
