emailed the details to Cefars owner to check it out. Cefar is micro-chipped not aware they have moved at all- but worth a check.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes, I think this alsation was the boy dog and not Cefar possibly the owner if it went without a struggle cos not many people would grab an alsation and put it in their car if they didnt know it, It was black and tan and near Snodland,,Perhaps this is good news! the woman that rang me could not remember if they were at the lights that would take them towards snodland, or the lights that would take them towards kingshill. all she can remember is the dog came very close to her side of the car when it passed. i did try and question her but all she could tell me is the driver behind her stopped the traffic and as they pulled away she saw the man put the dog in the car. have rung cefars owner and the way she describes cefar i would say that she is the same size as dee dee. so as this lady said a large alsation it might not be cefar.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have been to Rspca with poster of Blue as they already have one of Cefar , mentioned the possible sighting on the A228 and the helper in there told me she had passed an alsation last week on the A228, but it had definately been a boy, she is 100% cetain of that . By the time she turned round it had gone !So this may have been the same dog the car driver had seen being picked up. Have put Cefars photo in Sandhole vets and Halling garage ,Sandhole vets took some doglost flyers and my phone number in case any dogs are reported lost or found. Well I live on the A228 and have not heard anything about a dog being picked up or seen, It is quite along way from Aylesford with the Medway in between, only way really would be through Ditton and the way that DD went. RSPCA at leybourne have a poster that i gave them, I will drop one into Sandhole vets as they are on the A228, the A228 is a mighty long road , any idea about where this took place? and which way the car was going?ChrisxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Looking at a local map-A228 runs from Nettstead end of the A26 area to west malling, snodland,Halling cuxton. So if thease areas ring any bells then will do no harm to poster.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Would it be worth postering in the area on the A228 where this dog was picked up just in case it was someone local that stopped?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

thanks Mandy. I have spoken to Janet tonight. they have a lot of laminated posters so will be out in force to get the message accross. Pet shops, loca; shops and further afield. Anyone who had the email please make sure all pet stores vets etc in your area have details of Cefar. She is microchipped!have suggested maybe contacting a local paper. The postmen and dustbin men are all informed. She is a dog that likes home comforts so if some old lady has found her she may not be aware she is lost .Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi jane, they people didn't see what make of car or anything like that, cos they had to move with the traffic, all they know was it was a man in a car. i suppose when you have lost a dog you would think of things like that, but otherwise i don't think you would. i'm hoping that it was not cefar, i'm hoping she is still out there and just being like dee dee was, difficult to pin down. i'm feeling a lot better since i saw you on saturday, i was at my wits end on that day, but know i have dee dee back i feel a lot more relaxed and i have managed to sleep in my bed 2 nights now, what a luxury.lol my sister has said that if you need help with any dogs missing in the hampshire area then she will help as much as she can. just give me a call and i will give you her number. mandy x and thankyou for all the support you gave us.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi i had a phone call today from someone that read about dee dee in the paper. On the 1/10 they were traveling the A228 when a large alsation was walking down the road, the car behind them stopped and as these people pulled away they saw the man in the car behind them put the dog in his car. we know its not deedee so i was wondering if it might have been cefar. i have rung brian with the news. i'm leaving my posters up for a while longer, hoping that someone might see cefar and ring me with info. come on cefar come home safe and sound mandy Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Zoe just display the poster where ever you can. As its been a few weeks she could have travelled so the wider area covered the better. Janet and John (cefars owners) have checked out the sightings but no luck however fresh information means this does not sound like cefar as the coat is more red colour and tail like a fox but the size of a GSD. Re printing of posters they are being done at Johns work so if you have printed any up Louise please just poster around your area or give out to friends to spread the information.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have received my poster of Cefar. It is such great news about Dee Dee - she is very similar......i hope that she turns up safe and well and the sighting is a positive one. Good luck in your search - i am not quite close enough to be any use unfortunately unless its a weekend!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just had reports (via my pet food delivery lady) of a GSD sort of dog running loose in Boxley/peneden heath woods area. Have spoken to cefars owbners as if Cefar got out and followed the M20 along she would end up as the moroway crosses over at this point. Dont want to raise hopes but is worth a lookLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to owner . Cefar has just seemed to vanish. Suggested they phone the railway and street cleaning just to eliminate those areas. also need more posters up and to locate and check all rescue kennels although she is chipped.May have been picked up and with somebody who may think she has been dumped and doesnt know the procedures, this is why more posters are needed. Owner has my number and I hope she will phone if needs help with postering. She hasnt got a computer so any body in the area or near PLEASE help with postering even if you can put a few up it will help. Dee Dee and Cefar must be out there somewhere and as they are similar one of their posters may bring the other home.Cefar is friendly and will go to anybody. Lets get these 2 home. It seems that both Cefar and daughter were in a secure garden when they went 'missing' AND this is not far from the 2 collies missing from sevenoaks as well! The photo for Lulu will be with ceefar so the new poster will have them both on. These dogs need maximum publicity to make them hot news!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have given posters to collegue at work who lives in Aylesford, she says that she has seen lots of posters up for Cefar. She will put up anywhere that she can find without a poster. How can a dog this size just vanish unless she has been picked by someone! Has medway dog warden been notified? ChrisxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you all! Calamity Jane's computer just went "bang" so she's asked me to update where she has postered: Top of Teapot Lane; bus stops on both sides by bridge; woodlands road by A20 end; Ditton Grill; Ditton Hairdressers; Aylesford Aquatics; Holtwood Farm Shop. Please poster far and widely - can anyone do by the golf course - seems that Cefar could have gone that way?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have put poster up at Leybourne park with Rangers consent for 1 week only also went into Leybourne with poster and perhaps they were different shift or something but she was new to them! One in Pinions petfood at Ditton, Pets at home were too busy to take an interest so some need to go round there. Have owners tried Maidstone branch 01622 764993 or Brands Hatch 01474 874994 . I hope owners will keep trying Viking Oak(going there) as she may be missed by description only.Dont know Aylesford well but has this area been postered well? Any sightings at all or has she just vanished, seem strange as she is a fair sized dog, ChrisxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
