So glad you got her back, especially as someone 'helpfully' took her collar off. Couldn't help thinking, if he got her collar, he could have got HER. However, all's well that ends well. Clever girl, Trix.

We cried at this fantastic news! Kept looking out for her every day and ironically she was closer to where I lived than where she was lost - where we were searching! So, so pleased - has made my week!

Yay!!! TRIX IS HOME. Message from owner: She is very thin but had plenty of water where she was found which was a godsend in this weather. I have given her a small meal, she has had a shower as she stunk to high heaven and she is now sunbathing in the garden with Noods at her side.

Owner has just posted on the local community page for Orsett ...
"Had a phone call at 8 this morning, Trix was seen at the landfill site behind the Stifford Lodge/Moat House. A man found her and removed her collar as he didn't have a mobile phone with him, I went with him to where she was last seen and she had moved on. He said she was wet and tired but couldn't see any cuts etc on her. I think/hope she will go cross country and end up Green/Fen Lane, Parker/Conways Road or North Stifford Village. Difficult now as she has no collar on but if you call her name, she will come to you."

Just been looking at the satellite map. Have searchers been to every farm and smallholding? And the golf course? There can be a problem with disabled or senior dogs, in that people tend to assume they have been dumped, and sometimes they take them in and don't report in case the dog ends up being put to sleep. So you really need to get the word out everywhere that you are looking for this girl.
