- Just checked the post and the update is all 3 are settled into dogs Trust in Bridgend and the mammary tumour turns out to be a hernia so will be having a little op to put it right :-)

- Saw original post on a friends wall from finder, finder notified dw and knew about the 7 days, dw was happy for them to go to dogs Trust Bridgend. Finder would only take them to dogs Trust if they assured her they wouldn't be pts.

- So pleased that these little ones now have the best chance of a bright future.
- 2014-06-03 18:38 SJ100
- Can dogs trust confirm they will not be pts as they only deal with healthy dogs? I am willing to contribute to cost of vet treatment. Hope they can be treated and re-homed together.
- 2014-06-03 16:46 Shelagh
- Warden has made contact with finder. He has confirmed all 3 are at dogs trust bridge end
- 2014-06-03 15:38 Shelagh

- jasper. Must be a BIG thank for the kind offer. Paws xd here for a good result. If older adult, could try the "Cinnamon Trust" Keep us posted please.
- 2014-06-03 11:49 Shelagh
- Spoke to glamorgan warden first thing this morning. He was out yesterday with finder, she will not hand dogs over to him,as she feels the two females will be pts.,they both have health issues. He has gone there today to tell her we have rescues places for them, unfortunately he doesn't have a contact number, for her. He feels strongly all three are dumped, not lost. Working on assumption their collars have been removed.,it may not be necessary for them to go to pound at all. As soon as he is able to contact finder he will let me know
- 2014-06-03 10:53 Bo
- Update from Facebook is that they are going to Dogs Trust
- 2014-06-03 09:40 Bo
- Shelagh has spoken to the dog warden who is on the way to the finders house now. Will update when we have more news. Shelagh will speak to the finder via the dog wardens phone to let her know we have rescue space and not to worry. Dog warden sounds like a good person. Last edited: 2014-06-03 09:42:53 by Bo

- If necessary, I could foster these dogs short term until rescue space can be found. I have fostered for many tears and I'm sure they will help if poss. I am in somerset but can travel and have space and calm household. Let me know if I can help.

- Good point Seeks - I was asked to share them on here for that reason. I've reported the advert to gumtree as it seems the link to reply doesn't work. Shelagh has contacted their local DW and left a voicemail to see if they have indeed been contacted by the finder. That tattoo is very distinctive so I don't think its a dodgy advert .. Will update if any more info comes to light. I think the Finder means that the council only have limited funds for stray dogs that need medical treatment thus the possible PTS option -
- 2014-06-03 03:49 Seeks
- I shared them earlier pleading for space.
The one thing I keep thinking though is do we actually know they are dumped and not missing having taken off?
Not everyone has internet access and we know, in our case, we were like headless chicken even if we did have internet. I hope they reported to the warden? A Rescue would do that but space is hard to find so technically if they were found today its not certain they are actually dumped....
It too soon to say, though they may well have been - 2014-06-03 01:02 Carol
- Any donations needed just shout , why are the bitches being put down is it because they are in season if so then that's barbaric , are these 3 safe or not , I am fuming that such lovely dogs can be put down xxxxx
- 2014-06-02 23:54 wibble58
- so sad, look at those lovely faces. Saw this on Gumtree advert so have shared on my FB page. I hope they are all safe now x
- 2014-06-02 22:16 sophiesuds
- No I haven't been in touch with many tears just know they are a decent rescue in the area. Could email them if you want me too.
- 2014-06-02 22:10 fionap58

- The gumtree advert is all that is available. It's being shared and Shelagh is going to contact the DW in Cardiff in the morning to see if they know where the dogs are. There is an offer to pick these dogs up and take them to rescue. Politics of 7 day rule may be an issue. Will update if and when more info available.
- 2014-06-02 21:44 fionap58
- Has anyone called Many Tears? If not I'll do it tomorrow,
- 2014-06-02 21:40 fionap58
- Any suggestions what any of us can do to get them off the dog warden? No contact number for anyone to call to try and save? I'll do what I can to help them if any one has some ideas. Can they be released into someones care and get them some vet help if Sylvia can't help
- 2014-06-02 21:37 Bo
- Rescue space has been offered - trying to get hold of the finder on gumtree but no response.
- 2014-06-02 21:05 Nanni Byron
- Destroyed??!!!!!!
- 2014-06-02 20:45 Red Alert
- Admin, I don't know if you could highlight the plight of these 3 at the top with 'Urgent rescue space needed' As it seems the bitches may be PTS if no one takes them.
- 2014-06-02 20:42 Chris63
- Surely not PTS, how heartbreaking. So hope a rescue place can be found and shame on the person that just dumped them. X
- 2014-06-02 20:42 sophiesuds
- Could the little cutie on the left hand side of photo be Midge, listed as lost since January 2014 no 62888, hope so for her and the owners.
- 2014-06-02 20:34 Red Alert
- sophiesuds, have you contacted Many Tears?
- 2014-06-02 19:39 Unknown
- I wouldn`t call dumping a dog thoughtful; uncaring yes. Perhaps their owner is elderly, and can no longer take care of them, and unknown to them relatives have dumped them, instead of contacting rescue centres. Maybe the novelty had worn off? Just my thoughts.Last edited: 2014-06-02 19:45:07

- Maybe worth calling many tears rescue as they work hard with all the dogs they rescue to find homes, and keep together, not too far from where they were found either. Sylvia is really good and will do her utmost for them, worth giving them a ring. Hope she can help.

- 3 terrier dogs dumped with a plastic dog bed at the slipway/beach car park off Hayes Rd, Sully.
Copied from gumtree
1 Male Yorkshire Terrier, broken wire coat, black body, tan face & legs, not castrated, 1 Female Jack Terrier, broken wire white coat, white body with brown ears, brown patch on her back and brown docked tail. Poor dog clearly in season and on heat. Female Jack Russell, smooth coat, white & tan patches on her back, tan face and ears, tan docked tail.
This poor dog has a large mammary tumour on the right side of her abdomen. All dogs are well mannered, but very very nervous after being dumped in the elements for god knows how long. They've been walked on a hard surface/kept in a yard as their claws are in good condition and not overgrown.
Their collars have been taken off prior to dumping them, as the collar marks can clearly be seen around their necks! Whoever dumped these poor dogs was so thoughtful as to dump them with their small plastic dog bed! Someone somewhere knows who these dogs belonged to, and someone will know who dumped them. The dogs are safe and being looked after-for now.
The dogs need veterinary attention.
The dog warden who's said they MIGHT get treatment if placed in his care, and taken to the pound in Bridgend, but they'll definitely be separated (they've obviously lived together for some time and are a family pack of dogs) but it's likely that both the bitches will be destroyed.
If any help anyone can offer to get these dogs seen by a vet and re-homed, NOT destroyed would be greatly appreciated.
Also any genuine people out there please pass this message around Sully, Penarth, Dinas Powys, Barry area
