Message from Pepper's owner

Following up the search for pepper, don't think it is her , unfortunately!!
Firstly, the warder says this dog is quite young, pepper would be about 7 now,
Secondly, pepper had a sticking out lower jaw, this one doesn't.

Thankyou Allison x
Peppers owners live in Essex and one of them has stayed constantly searching almost every day since she vanished and has returned there again this weekend. It will be reassuring for them to know you are in the area and also looking out for her.
@ silver birch .... I believe her owners have been able to display posters in local pubs, cafes etc x
Allison
Not sure if this info helps but we are in a holiday cottage at Cowgill on the back end of Whernside (3 miles from Dent) the postcode here is LA10. This is our third and final week but we are keeping our eyes open daily for little lost Pepper. Hope she turns up soon. X

Has a poster been put up in the pub in Dent? Or in the village there. So sorry we're too far away (wilts) to help.

Bumping Peppers page as the Northern Echo ( north yorks edition) has an article about her with photograph.
Hoping this will bring some desperately needed news of her for her owner who again has made the long journey back to search for her this weekend .

Thankyou Zilyar x you are correct it is Whernside and I have amended accordingly.

Is it worth checking location Pepper lost in? Could it be Whernside (one of the 3Peaks in the Yorkshire Dales), near Ribblehead Viaduct? BD24 postcode includes Horton in Ribblesdale, a village about 10miles away from Ribblehead - all in fell-walking country. Do hope Pepper found safe soon.

Hi DOGGY LOVER , Pepper was wearing 2 collars and 2 tags . One collar was faded grey and pink and I believe the other one was grey.
DOGGY.LOVER
Was Pepper wearing a collar when lost. If so can I please be advised what colour??

Pepper has been lost on a walk whilst on holiday with her owners who live many many miles away and she would not be able to find her way home.
One of her owners has stayed searching for her everyday but no sign of her yet.
Her owners have been unable to contact the dog warden or holding kennels for the area yet and I will help them with this.
Have advised that the owner tries to do some scenting in the area she was last seen and if possible try to get posters up.
This is a rural area but if any helpers live locally I am sure Peppers owners would be very grateful for any help with searching or postering .
Hoping Pepper is found very soon x

Sorry to see that PEPPER STILL MISSING is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (68943)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
