Hope has been found and is home, dirty and thin and asking for attention. She was seen in a door way not 400 yards from where she was lost. We had given the guy a leaflet days ago. A massive thank you to all who searched and over the coming days i will try to thank you all.
pixies peeps
I am sorry I have obviously annoyed the owner by mentioning another tel number on here and it has been removed The reason I put this number was that the Hope had only been with this owner a day before she was lost whereas the person whose number I had added here had been her fosterer over here. Hope would be more likely to go to someone she knew if she was sighted and the time element could be crucial in catching her safely.

Le me just reply to the comment about contacting people. All local vets, kennels, Woodgreen, RSPCA, Dog Warden were contacted a week ago! Paper has been notified and local radio. I have been in contact with the dog warden and Wood Green since. The only number for contact is mine, the owner. Please disregard others, we live only 5 minutes away. The number to call is 0776 7362084

No hooks and we only use treadle traps not guillotine.
Nikki (Tyler's mum)
On my drive home from work tonight I noticed that most of the posters put up along the Hartford road have either been taken down or blown away. It seems the old ones we're put up with a staple gun. If I owned one of these I would be happy to put some more posters up but I don't think the usual Sellotape or blue tac would hold....any ideas? Also notice that the funfair is now at the riverside car park so imagine hope would stay well clear of that end of the park.
blueribbonuk
we will be up with more posters to post further afield. as i really dont think she is in the same area i know hope. steph is the trap one of those that the dog has to take food off the hook if so that will not work
Dog WardenSteph HDC AWO
I am in contact with the owner; we have discussed the situation and using our traps if and when we know her whereabouts. Show yourself Hope!
pixies peeps
I am sure it would be appreciated if anyone in the areas close or further afield from the postcode she went missing could help with searching, sharing or postering. Please contact Tracey on 07825814718 if you could help in any way or if any sightings . .I wish as another beardie owner I could help search but sadly live much too far away.
blueribbonuk
it is our view that hope is no longer in the area she got off she is a scared dog and nervous of humans so she wont want to be near them she will go where its quiet
blueribbonuk
boatmaster the whole of that residential area need to be postered now and 5-6 mile radius the river agencies need to be notified papers radio search parties need to be gathered now. it is mnow getting urgent and we need to pull out all the stops. farms need to be visited in the area local kennels etc keep ringing dog warden and woodgreen etc
Boatmaster
The postcode closest to where she was seen is PE29 1XP. Across the road from this is a huge residential area. We have put up posters throughout the area,on telegraph poles, at schools, churches, community centre, gym etc. In the area she was last seen by the river the majority of dog walkers are aware. There is a group that goes out every day at first light in normal circumstances and I talked with them this morning.

blueribbonuk what is the full postcode you want added, I will put it on for you.
blueribbonuk
would it be possible to put the full postal code in as if you google just the pe28 it shows you the totally wrong area. it is felt that hope may have moved out of the area she will want to be where it is quieter and there is alot of activity going on where she was origonally lost. so anyone close to the area within 5 mile radius please keep a look out for hope
blueribbonuk
please if anyone can go and help look this would be greatly appreciated.

Bumped due to these possible sightings, stay safe Hope until you are found x

I had a call early evening reporting a possible sighting 2 days ago at the Church Street end of the river walk. We searched the area thoroughly again as many have these last days but as local people know so much of the hedges are impenetrable to humans. No success. We cruised slowly around the roads slowly around American Lane, Desborough Avenue but saw only cats
Nikki (Tyler's mum)
I have just got back from walking from Hartford church down to the boat house along the river several times. Managed to walk most paths although admittedly got a little lost at one point and found myself climbing through the brambles and through the wooded areas. Unfortunate no sign although there are plenty of hiding places in the wooded areas where she could be hiding. Will try to get out again over the weekend x
Boatmaster
A massive thank you to all those who have helped and are helping find Hope. I was contacted yesterday with possible sighting of her crossing the road again near East St. Another person I spoke to in that area said she may have seen a dog similar at the field near Thames Road, but this lady was not sure. There are many posters in that area. There was also a call about a youth going door to door in Pennington Road with a small dog on Monday evening but at that time she was probably still by the river.
willow
so hoping sweet little hope comes home safe and sound.she is so like willow my bearded collie cross who went missing and was found almost a week later.miracles happen.i know that, when i found my willow.
Liz
Ill look around the Hartford Church area tomorrow and along that stretch of the river, ive got the above phone number just in case, fingers crossed
blueribbonuk
if there is anyone in the area or near the area that can help in looking for hope we need to get a sighting of her.
blueribbonuk
posters are now being distributed within a 5 mile radius

I wonder if she went across the main bridge and behind the Mill flats? In which case she could be anywhere between there and Hemingford across the fields. Or maybe Port Holme? Sadly no sightings as yet.
Nikki (Tyler's mum)
Oh no, if I had of known at the time I would have stopped. I Always carry a spare collar lead and biscuits in the car for situations like this. Reassuring to see so many posters on the Hartford road this evening on my way home. I can't get over there tonight but I will keep my eyes open and perhaps go for a walk along the river tomorrow evening at dusk when she is more likely to appear. Do we know which direction she headed? XLast edited: 2014-04-02 18:25:29 by Nikki (Tyler's mum)

hope at that time ran in front of a police car and the 2 officers kindly got out to help with hope. they did have her ona small bridge but hope has an undershot jaw so her bottom teeth show and the police officer thought she was snarling at him and so didnt grab her when she went passed him. they carried on looking for a while the police officertrailled through mud etc but she had fled
Nikki (Tyler's mum)
When I drove along the Hartford Road on Monday approximately 4pm there were two police cars parked to the right of "Toll Cottage" facing into the park at the gate...wonder if this was anything to do with hope, has anyone contacted the police?
blueribbonuk

beardies in need
Spoke to owner and given lots of advice. Hope like most beardies is v timid musnt call her name or spook her. Need helpers for posters please. He only got Hope on Saturday from rescue kennels so she won't know the area. Poor girl. Strange as owner said he fell in love with one I rehomed that's why he got Hope. She slipped her harness after getting spooked on walk by river yesterday. Can't stress enough how they can so easily get spooked need v secure collars and leads at all times. Rescue kennels don't seem to pass this info on. Any help would be great. Thankyou x
