Can admin move into Reunited please?

Believe me the staff at the kennels felt the same as me. The dog legally belongs to new owners now. These are local council kennels, so staff can only follow the procedure/law as it stands. Maybe RSPCA should be told, I will keep checking to see if owners put a fence up and hopefully get him microchipped and neutered.

I risk being pinked! Name and shame the kennels it looks to me as if they have not done home checks right from the start. Do thay want the poor dog to escape again and possibly get killed.

Bazil I think you did the right thing..... Can't believe the kennels are letting the so called "owners" have him back!!! Grrrrr!

Some may think I have done wrong... I don't.
This little dog was rehomed by local kennels in January 2014. He is now about 9 months old. New owners were given vouchers to get him Microchipped and neutered FOR FREE and signed the agreement to do so within 28days.

Through posting him Found on FB owner contacted me to say I had his dog. I asked him to describe dog, breed, collar, age etc. He got Breed wrong! Collar colour wrong! So I said I need proof of ownership and I can't just bring him too you, as he had asked me to do.
He then told me he got him from kennels about 3 months ago. So I called kennels for confirmation. Yes it was one of their dogs.

The owners had breeched their contract/agreement. He is still not neutered or microchipped and probably hasn't had his injections either. Owners have no dividing fence in their garden. They have asked for council to put one up, they say it will only be 2ft high. I say put one up yourself. You must make your garden secure. He says 'I suppose I will have to start walking him'??? He only lets him out to do 'his business' unsupervised??? You could not make this up.
This beautiful little dog is crazy/hyper and can jump about 5ft. Why? Simple. He is not being walked and judging by his weight not fed properly either.
I made the decision to take him back to kennels, truly in the hope of him finding a new home. I called owner and told him I was doing this. He seemed to accept my decision when I gave him my reasons. Unfortunately his 'irresponsible owners' will be paying the fine and collecting him from the kennels. I had many phone calls from 3 other family members while on my way to the kennels making excuses to why he was not chipped/neutered. Poor kennels were getting grief too.
I am hoping this may be the wake up call they need to become responsible dog owners and they do what is best for this poor little Puppy. 9 months old and back in kennels and living with... well I cant print what I really want to call them! Grrrrrrr.Last edited: 2014-03-26 12:08:37 by BBKM
