Sounds to me like someone knew the pups were there! Im sure this has proberbly already been done, but, please check with the Worthing dog warden & Worthing and district animal rescue, they may have some leads. Also contact Old Clayton kennels they may have heard something. Shelley XLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Runfold-Eddie:
I'd like to say, as a pro docker, that it has NO bearing on the theft of these puppies whether they are docked or not, well only for identification. A photo would be more helpful than slagging off people that have undertaken something that is still legal!! Concentrate your minds on getting these puppies back home!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

sorry did it again, must be trigger happy.thanks for that chris,i didn't realise we had got to wait until the end of the year for this law to take effect.but, sorry, that isn't the issue i know, how could anyone take a puppy this age, surely they must know they are too young to leave their mother.they must be beautiful pups, they will sell them very easily.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Trishk, re the docking of dogs tails, as the law stands at the moment , the docking of puppies tails can only be performed by a vet, it is illegal for a lay person to do it ,... The Animal Welfare Act will make it illegal for puppies tails to be docked from the end of thisyear. although the working breeds are looking for an exemption. , and will have to prove puppies will be used for working and have certificate to show this,Docked dogs will no longer be able to be shown. As I think the only breeder in the uk of American Cocker Spaniels who remain undocked you can guess my views on this. but lets hope these little ones are found or end up in loving homes. How awful. What kind of scumbag could steal these babies. They will be needing vaccinations so they will be taken to a vet a some point. It just depends on which area they have got to.I hope they are all found soon.Poor little pups.love diane xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Were these puppies 6 weeks when stolen or 6 weeks now. When are these kennels going to step up their security especially at night. The staff puppies stolen from rspca at Leybourne shouldnt have been left unattended at night, what would happen in the event of a fire? I hope these puppies are found safe and well and if they are 9 weeks now they are probably in the process of going to new homes. I am sorry for being negative and not all kennels are slack but these people are responsible for (in the case of boarding kennels) other peoples dogs . plus they should know that there are some lowlife scum out there !!
