Best news ever and so worth all the walk along common road putting up posters.message from owner on phone to say found in garden by a lady who had seen my poster and caught her using treats.

Just shows importance of getting those posters out as this method really does work with great results.

Vodka999 you should have said who you were ! I knew you mentioned knew doglost site but useful to know where active helpers are as many dogs get lost in your area and having the stables and riders is very useful to know!

Tiga was out with owner today but it was not easy as the bed had been washed so we gave Yogi a try after getting scent from the footwell of the car and his route took us not far but through the woods and back to the pub. Had a call at 8.30 to say that Toastie was back home with the delighted children after being seen and caught with the help of treats in the garden of the house just a little way down from the pub. Welcome home Toastie and well done Wendy for spending so much time nearby which clearly paid off.

Went to car park at start of common road and put up posters on notice board then on entrance. then walked along common road placing posters on telegraph poes close to entrances of the public footpaths. Any one in the house that were out side were made aware and took a doglost card and I said to phone if sighted. Into the riding school where I gave a poster ( was that you vodka999 that I interrupted having a nice smelling meal??)
Posters in a few more places to start of robin hood pub. spoke to a couple of ramblers and a jogger who also took cards and will keep a look out. Already a poster in the pub I left cards in case locals want to take them. Had a nice break in the pub while my house guest Jose from spain walked my dog in the fields behind as he needed a walk but also just in case might spot him.
Area is vast and the way forward if to scent the area so that Toastie has familiar smells and a reason to stay in area. Advised owner places in fields to scent and to bring him back to area -the pub which is where he started from having been taken there by car then walked from car park to fields behind the pub where he spotted a rabbit and gave chase.
Area is a lot of woods so need a sighting . Hopefully the riding school being aware will cover this area by horse back and may get a sighting.
Owner had bedding which we left located in a corner place under smoking shelter outside pub- as had previously been left in a place far too open for a puppy to feel secure.

We have a riding school on the same road and are between the view point and the Robin Hood pub, we have posters up thanks to a Dog Lost volunteer today and will defiantly keep an eye open for Toastie. I will also facebook this as we have a dog trainer in 2 times a week and she could also spread the word. hoping for good news if you have any sightings and need someone there quick im around most of the time :)

Owner has phoned back and have advised areas to concentrate on even scenting although young will recognise the smell of 'mum' as stays with owner most of the time.Posters in Robin hood pub and need to get some on the areas around here. Owner is there now searching and will ring back if needs more help.

I have alerted labrador rescue that is on same road close to pub where missing from in case attracted by noise of other dogs.Any one not knowing this road is well hidden lots odf wooded areas. at begining of the road there are houses but then its mainly fields and woods. Road leads from main bluebell hill then turns off passing 'surprise view' [lus car park- where the memorial is to the air ambulance helicopter that crashed. The area just passed this is also a walking area for dog owners so would suggest posters there as well so have suggested this to owner.
