I am so so sorry to read this story about Tilly..... this is such a heartbreaking story I cannot bear to even think about what has happened! Gem my heart goes out to you.... I too have a chocolate labrador he looks so much like Tilly I cannot imagine (or maybe I can) what you must be going through! Tilly is at peace now but I pray the SCUM who did this are caught & severely punished.... someone knows who did this, they will tell someone I just wish that person would come forward before they do it again, God forbid!

I am very sorry to hear this news, I know exactly how you feel I am welling up thinking about it and remember when we found Sam our dog 2 years ago which wasn't a nice thing. Thinking about you at this very sad time.

I am so very, very sorry to read this. This is just tragic. I hope they catch the scum who did this soon. Personally I feel like giving them a good thrashing, and putting them in the canal. This type of individual is a pathetic, low life, cowardly scumbag. Please find comfort that one day you will meet Tilly at the bridge when the time is right. My retired friend (Spiritualist medium (Christian) tells me that these people will get their comeuppance; i hope it is soon. Also when an animal is taken in a tragic way, the owner sometimes gets a sign that the animal is okay. Tilly will be back to her healthy lively self now, and playing happily at the bridge. Dear Gem and family, I hope you will find some comfort and strength in knowing that so many share the loss of your beloved Tilly.
When our hearts are open and filled with love there is always Light in our lives. Please believe that this cruel act was already symptomatic of undoubtedly unhappy people who will not escape continued misery as a result of their thoughts, intentions and deeds... by the Law of The Universe - what you sow, so shall you reap.
Even if they are not found and dealt with through our justice system, they will live with this on their conscience and may never know the joy of an open, love filled heart…. that is also very sad.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped in the search for tilly. The RSPCA have visited this afternoon as they have found my little girls body. Tilly wasn't just a dog, she was a member of our family and will forever be irreplaceable. My thoughts goes out to anyone who is missing a member of their family and with all my heart I hope you all get a happy ending soon.

I would plead with anyone who knows anything about a chocolate lab being dumped in the canal near Red Bull traffic lights in Church Lawton to contact the RSPCA, it was reported in the Sentinel last week but they incorrectly identified the dog as a Collie. I know it is unlikely anyone on here will know anything but if you hear anything at all please try and help the RSPCA catch the scum who did this.

Thanks Angus and everyone else for your help. I can't get over to Manchester until Saturday so if anyone hears anything further on this one please let me know. I have also been contacted by someone on Facebook about a chocolate lab which has been left in Middlewich and taken to kennels. I have got to call them in the morning when they can check the paperwork - will keep you posted.

Chocolate Labrador scared, lost and very wet running around aldi car park on green lane in heywood. No1 can catch it. I have rang the dog warden but they said because it's after 5 they can't send anyone out. Please spread the word. Has no collar..is a pretty big dog. X

Hi, The found 'Poppy' is chipped but her original owner rehomed her about 12 months ago, hence why it may be Poppy depending on whether her new owner renamed her. ID65872 is from the area she was found in, the lady had a lead on her owner. Think we need to go out with more posters again at the weekend as quite a lot that we put up seem to have been taken down unfortunately.

Will call the Pippa lead tomorrow and see what I can find out. My partner checked the CCTV with the security guy, unfortunately in the day the cameras only focus on the exits, they become motion sensored at night so didn't see anything.

I have spoken to Tilly's owner today.

Tilly went missing from outside Aldi at about 4pm on Saturday 8th Feb. she was securely tied and it is believed that she was STOLEN.

Tilly's owners have been doing all the right things, dog warden, and vets have been informed and posters are up throughout the area. Local police have been informed.

I have recommended MEDIA COVERAGE and POSTERS to try and make Tilly TOO HOT TO HANDLE.

Rehousing Date: 9 March 2014 (not sure what colour the bitch is) Just wanted to add as well that don't rely on the chip 100% as there were two instances this week where chips weren't picked up by the warden/kennels)
