Just to let you all know , i went to cardiff on sat 15/2/14 in search of my precious pooch Chester , along with my 2 daughters and my grandson . we were driving around when we received a call from cardiff dogs home saying they think they got Chester . We rushed to the dogs home and it was him . we were so so happy and shocked at the same time . he had been missing for 8 days . I would like to say a very big thank you to everyone in the home , and a big thank you to the very nice man that went and picked him up . a big big thank you for all the help i received from everyone i cant thank you enough . julia x x x

FANTASTIC - It says he's was taken to Cardiff Dogs Home and is taking a trip to the Vets on Monday. Lost weight but appears ok x

Neighbark, I have been through Ely on a daily basis and postered too, but I fear the sighting might be a red herring. Brindle bull breeds are the dog of choice there. Wouldn't want people in other areas to stop looking because they think Chester is in Ely.

I hadn't realised that the family live 40 miles from where the accident happened. Can anyone in the Ely area of Cardiff spare some time to go search and to poster the area pleas? It's been 5 days now since the car accident, we don't know if he's injured...

Yes there has been a sighting of a dog of his description wearing a harness in Ely. Posters are up too, and local farmers that owner contacted on Sunday are phoning for updates.... Everything crossed.

Chester is now in the local paper and there has been a possible sighting. Fingers crossed x Come on Chester, so many people are hoping you get back to your family very soon x

I put a request in to 3 local Wales radio stations late last night, hoping they put this out to their listeners. I've been communicating with the owner. Chester ran off in the confusion after the accident, he may be injured. There are farms, fields roads etc. all around, so difficult. The owner searched all day yesterday. He isn't chipped and didn't have a collar on, though he was wearing a harness, which of course is worrying in case he gets caught up in branches etc. Can people please search online for local rescues - the owner has contacted pounds, but it's a 'busy' area.
