Her previous owner came down and she came running straight out to her! They have a very strong bond, she's the only person jazz trusts and loves, so it was decided that she would have jazz back and work through the issues jazz has as rehoming jazz wasn't the solution bless her! She just wanted to be with her mummy! Xx

That is fantastic news-well done! How did you manage it? Welcome back home Jazz!
I used to keep a small puppy lead looped around my rescue's neck for the first few weeks so I didn't have to grab her collar, worked a treat.

You could do with a net to catch her in. I'm chained to my desk atm but if she's not caught by Fri pm could prob give you a hand & use my friendly boy dog as a lure x
Pheadrab
Loopy lurcher she's on her way back down, have tried that, that's how I've got close before but it's that last step she has to take for me to be close enough to catch her :( x
Pheadrab
Lots of sightings over last 2 hours circuiting around Belmont park, caradon close. The organic garden and Wesley road... So close... But she just won't be caught x
Pheadrab
I saw her myself at Belmont park around 11, got an arms breadth away but she backed off in need of someone with estate car or bigger to pick up dog trap with me from Bissoe x

Been offline with powercut. Praps you could lure her to you by sitting quietly outside (well wrapped up)Pensilva Stores/Millenium Centre bin area with suggested smelly treats with your other dog? So frustrating for you. Is old owner still with you?
Pheadrab
Spotted again in village ripping bins... This was an anon call to dog warden, caller also stated my other dog was now loose too... This is NOT the case. It's just jazz x

You might try some extra yummy treats, e.g. garlic chicken, sardines or pilchards, and very strong smelly cheese. Doglost co-ords and helpers have had good results with all of these.
Pheadrab
Seen this morning at 8.45 by millennium centre, so close to home again :-D xx
Pheadrab
just had a call saying she was seen between golberdon and pensilva on the golberdon road at about 7.45 so she's travelling further afield :(
Pheadrab
Previous owner came down, we searched thoroughly, but she's obviously gone to ground for the night :( feel so useless :(
Pheadrab
Last seen Wesley road 7.30 though meat gone from front door in last hour, not entered house despite door left open x

Good to know she is returning home. Just hope she can be captured.
Stay safe Jazz.

Spoken to owner and given advice. Jazz has been returning to owners garden but it isn't secure and she runs. She is leaving bedding, food and worn clothing this evening in the open shed for her to shelter if she returns again. Previous owner is from Wiltshire so have suggested they send down some dust from their vacuum cleaner just in case new owner needs to scent.Last edited: 2014-02-04 20:05:47 by Moogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall

I have just spoken to Jazz's owner, Jazz is staying close to home, entering the garden but so far has not plucked up courage to go into the house or allow owner to catch her. Emailed advice and suggested contacts who may be able to help.

Will ask hunt, good idea! The dog warden didn't know what a trap was :-/
Pheadrab
I saw her at 6 at lower glen park, almost enticed her into car with a line of chicken but impatient idiots beeped at me and scared her off :-/ then she headed and was seen by my house 20 min later (Wesley road) then apparently just now down jubilee road heading towards the millennium centre x
Pheadrab
Spotted lower glen park 6pm
LoopyLurcher
I would ask the dogwarden or the East Cornwall Hunt
Pheadrab
Does anyone know where I can hire a dog trap?
Pheadrab
Spotted by dog warden at 2pm in lower glen park but then ran off, so coming closer to home but still alluding capture x
Seeks
Bless her that rural as well. Will share her and keep everything crossed she is soon found and home
LoopyLurcher
A friend of mine spotted her last night about 6pm by Pensilva Stores she was running about in awful rain & hail but no-one knew who she belonged to. Finbar is going to ring owner & said to contact Fern Lodge kennels in Pensilva as they take in lost dogs. I've left them a message but couldn't get thru on their mobile.Last edited: 2014-02-04 11:02:36 by LoopyLurcher

Poor girlie must be scared. I've emailed poster to Calweton vets in Callington. I'd put some smelly food (pilchards in tom sauce?) out near to last sighting/in equestrian centre & hope she'll come to it. We moved from Wilts too x
