- I have spoken to petlog and they are getting admin to back track for me. they will phone once found who bought the chip and possibly have details of that person to contact. Could be a breeder who did a bulk buy or a vet. Hope its a vet as easier to get more information.

- A picture of Ben would be helpful.. This dog was not a puppy in 2009. I'm still not 100% sure that the chip is from UK. I wrote to petlog yesterday but they didn't answer. Is there an "official" pet registry in UK?

- Have been in touch with Nick from halo scanner who is looking into this....The chip details come up as unregistered....he is looking into batch numbers to see where the chip was implanted....tx Nick!

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
