I am incredibly happy that Hardy is home! I was particularly worried about these little chaps, so now we have to work all out to find Toby. This is why we never give up hope - ever! Well done owners, for not giving up. Thank you to those who helped reunite Hardy. We will never know exactly what has happened, but we do know that very often publicity works. There will be another news article soon. Come on Toby, your baby is home, now its your turn. Please be quick. x
Abbe

Brilliant news. Copied from and email sent in to admin

We're so so pleased! We found Hardy! He was roaming the Promenade park in Maldon for 10 days apparently.

My husband Derek got a phonecall last night that a stray looking like Hardy was roaming the park, approaching people's dogs but that people couldn't catch it, he ran off every time they tried to.

A person from the Maldon council, Lorna Thacker, recognised Derek & ran him last night. This after she's been to the park herself trying for hour & half to catch him! Derek went over to the park with our son trying to find him but after 3 hours no such luck.

Derek went to the park again this morning, Hardy walked up to him, Derek caught him & that was it!

Thanks very much for your help in trying to raise awareness. It helped so much.

Now it's Toby that still needs to come home.

It would be really helpful if we could have a side view of Hardy too: I was at Wallace Kennels yesterday and they are convinced that their dog isn't one of these two...

Could somebody please look at "wallace kennels" site, there's a youngish male dog posted yesterday that is looking for a home, looks similar to Hardy. Wallace are out of hours for Chelmsford and also take other pound and unwanted dogs.

Owners have been trying to find these two but they are both disabled; one in a wheelchair. They say unable to poster very much but have handed them to carers and friends to do but I have a feeling there's nothing much out there. At least we have the papers - I have asked which ones but no reply as yet. If anyone knows please let us know, thanks. If anyone can help put a few posters up that would be great. Thank you. x
Kinsally
Fingers crossed these two will be back home asap.Circulating on Twitter.

We are hoping this is Hardy, he may have escaped or been let go, but we still have to keep our eyes and ears open. Not putting all our eggs in one basket. If we get can Hardy home, we are half way there. Please can people poster for both these dogs in these areas as if it is Hardy, Toby could be quite close - hopefully. Even just a couple each? Thank you! x Last edited: 2014-01-29 23:09:33 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

Facebook post asking where latest possible sighting was please.

Alison, we've got another sighting. Person saw photo and said it was Hardy. So hoping. He was very muddy. At least we have something to work on now. It is worrying that Toby has not been seen. It is possible that if stolen, as owners believe, Hardy has escaped. Please can helpers assist with posting the area sighted? Owners are working so hard and are very distraught. Any help appreciated. Toby & Hardy are going in the paper. Owners already did that before I contacted them! Well done owners. x
AlisonH
Possible sighting of one of the dogs in School Road, Great Totham, earlier today but owner not sure which one.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
There are certain people in the area that probably have taken these two fur babies, so we really need all hands on deck to make them so famous! If anyone can help, please, please do so. Owners are not young and have not been in good health. Does anyone have media connections that we could use? x
