Ajess266ww
Thanks again everyone for all the good wishes our girls made it home, lilas is acting like Whatever! Typical teen eh, though is looking for lots of fuss ;-) Kizz is feeling better everyday not quite as sore and still devouring her food, mind she is a spaniel! Lol but she's doing great, I really thought I'd lost her this time,Last edited: 2014-01-28 19:08:27 by Ajess266ww

Ajess. What lovely comments. So pleased you have your dogs back. My friend was watching a Springer Spaniel happily playing, and running around, and then was amazed to see the dog only had 3 legs. How do they cope? Stay safe noiw cherub:-)xxx
Ajess266ww
Hi everyone, first I would like to give a big thanks to Doglost and all its members/ volunteers it really is such a valuable organisation when dogs go missing I've used you twice and the support and upbeat responses mean so much when our dogs we love go missing, so again our heartfelt thanks.
Secondly both girls are recovering from there adventures pretty well, Lilas being a youngster after a night on the town was feeling pretty much back to normal after a good night's sleep (though she fell asleep on my husband's lap last night in 5mins and was snoring like a big dog!!) Kizz having endured a 2nd night in the cold and being that much older and a little challenged is very happy to be back, she did look a sorrowful sight when we saw her this morning, but her little stub of a tail goes 10 to the dozen every time I look at her, she's stiff as hell, pretty sore, bit of a Nick on a toe, and has mud everywhere! but its nothing that a little tlc and time won't help, I can't even imagine what she was going through last night but I think it was a real struggle to get home, and totally took it out of her but she made it and that's the main thing, so tonight I think we'll all get a good night's sleep :-) and its life back to normal Kizz is curled up in her bed snoozing Lilas asleep on husband's lap and Berry is polishing her halo for going nowhere, we won't mention the sausage she stole off the counter last Saturday, but our family is complete again :-) All I can say is never give up hope as 8years ago Kizz was gone for 23days fending for herself and we got her back and this week we got them both back when we thought the luck had run out, thank you so much everyone again many thanks Allison & Dominic Kizzy, lilas and Berry :-D xxLast edited: 2014-01-24 20:33:03 by Ajess266ww

Oh so hoping Kizzy is found safe and back home very soon. Keep checking any used/unused huts/barns/stables that are in the area where she went missing. She could have made herself a nice safe den somewhere. Stay safe Kizzy x
jobadger
So very sorry to read this............. I know it's only 24 hours since she went missing but would it be possible to ask Tiga to track this girl at this eraly stage because of her circumstances. I hope there's news soon. xx
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Thank you both. Seeks, that is good for owner to hear. Spindle, they already tried that but no luck sadly. Lilas was a bit anxious when she got home and very tired. Hopefully, they just got separated and Kizzy is having a rest. Owner going out again at first light and a search party being organised for Saturday in the woods and fields. Come on Kizzy, please get home soon, safe and sound. x
Spindle
Would Lilas praps take you to her on an extending lead?
Seeks
I had a 3 legged dog, she lost her front leg in her twilight years but still do would do a runner now and then. She got tired and would just sit down and stay there till either I found her or she felt less sore and would come a bit further so maybe that's why Kizzy not back yet?

She really might have just got tired.

I am not remotely near enough to help search but will share and ask if there is anyone that could as well as send so many hopes she is soon home or found x
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Please help search for Kizzy - elderly and disabled. Her pal has come home and they wouldn't leave each other by choice - owner very worried!
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Absolutely brilliant, Allison. So glad you are home Lilas, will move you into Reunited. Okay now we have to work on Kizzy.
We need as many helpers as possible to search through the woods with owner please. They have been searching all day. Kizzy is elderly and only one front leg. We need to find this girlie! Please help! x
Ajess266ww
Ok an update for you Lilas appeared at about 3.30 this afternoon, seemed fine not dirty maybe looking a bit guilty, no sign of Kizz yet.
Getting worried as she's an old girl and now ondering if that's why Lilas didn't come home as she was with Kizz and didn't want to leave her lets hope not I know... Have put lots of posters up they do state 2 dogs but now one, the Billericay/Wickford Gazette are running a story and I've phoned all the local vets and there was 5 of us out looking for them this afternoon, but at least ones home though am starting to fear the worst for poor Kizz,
Regards

Thank you, A. Getting word out best we can this end. Leave the gate open, or barn or whatever, in case they come back in the night. So hoping. x
Ajess266ww
Hi, Iwas justt getting stuff out of the barn to go to work, they come with me had turned my back and they had disappeared, they have gone off before but never in the mornings, I figured they had gone hunting and would be back later but still no sign!we live on Whites Hill woods galore but the longest they have ever gone is 6hrs now really worried Last edited: 2014-01-22 21:24:45 by Ajess266ww
Jo - Area Co-ordinator, Essex
Kim, do we know what the circumstances of their disappearance were? x
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Emailed owner & texted. I am going to highlight the fact this sweet girl has a leg missing because this will grab attention to help the both get home asap. Owner I would suggest you use this fact to ask the local radio to do a news bulletin for you and it could help make the local papers run a story. Use it to your advantage. x
