The lovely Tiger Lily is now home safe. She somehow got from Balham to Croydon in seven days and only got caught because her lead got caught up in a tree in the people's garden. Luckily they had dogs themselves and were more than happy to help. Thank you DogLost. xxx

I have just had a tweet from the driver of a train and he said his colleague told him they stopped the trains at Balham on Saturday and he tried to catch her but she ran away.
I had another tweet from someone who said they think they saw her on same Saturday at 1pm but on the embankment before Sutton station on the Victoria to Dorking train which passed through Balham and Streatham Common even though it might not stop there so is likely was Tiger Lilly. This still puts the last sighting at 15.25 Saturday 19th. Last edited: 2014-01-22 13:24:00 by reggiemollieros

You may need to keep on at Network Rail as sometimes they can be very slack depending on who you get. Please everyone keep an eye out for this baby and try talking to the station masters. They may not be helpful, but you need to pursue it for the dog's sake. They are the only ones who can check the tracks - rail workers. Train drivers should report back but rarely do - they would know if she was still hanging around there. Hope she moves away quick smart. Well done for this. x

There was another sighting, a man tried to catch her and she ran into the grounds of Streatham and Clapham High School which is on Abbotswood Road Streatham where it joins Bedford Hill. The school grounds so reach down to the common. Possibly this was yesterday but could have been earlier. The School are aware and the caretaker looked for her but could not see her however next to that school is where a Steiner school used to be and this is now a development area which she could very easily be hiding in so hopefully I can go look tomorrow if I can gain access.

Thank you lisamarie, you were typing the same time as I was x
This is what Network Rail said on twitter when I asked for more details.
" Other than it was a small dog no other info was given. The last report was it has escaped into common land at Streatham."
I have spoken to Network Rail and they are going to get back to me if they have any more info. Last edited: 2014-01-21 15:08:26 by reggiemollieros

Thank you for sending out alerts. I saw the man who tried to catch her and he thinks it was Friday 17th about 5pm. I spoke to a number of dog walkers most of whom are aware and I was told especially on the other side of the common, that everyone was talking about her. I handed out quite a few posters which left me with only a few to put up, one in pet shop and the other 2 strategically placed so dog walkers can see but I will get some more up. I need those plastic folders. I have shared on twitter since this morning. I have shared on Streatham Hill Vets Facebook wall. I have also shared on Facebook and will keep sharing anywhere I think might help.

Hi, sorry to hear Tiger Lilly is missing. I have posted her details onto Streatham dogs owners page on Facebook in the hope that someone may see her on her travels. I hope she finds her way home soon x

Some info from Tiger Lilly's owner:
She is 18 months old and is very scared. I rescued her a month ago. She is terrified of people but she was getting better. Then I fell over on a paving stone which was wet and greasy and she ran off. I live on Bedford Hill in Balham and that is where she ran off on the Common. She was wearing a red collar and blue lead which were new.

I have added on behalf of owner with permission to do so. It is owner's phone number but my email and I am in touch with owner.
There have been sightings in the area. Also a confirmed sighting from a member of the public via twitter at side of rail track on the Balham to Streatham Common line. I have sent photo to person who tweeted and they have confirmed that was Tiger Lilly and he has given me the exact date and time of 18th January at 15.25. I also noticed Network rail tweeeting about delays on the same line because of a dog in the area and Network Rail said to me on twitter that there were reports and that they stopped the trains however they also say the area was clear when they restarted the trains. This info coincides with the info from the member of the public.

I am local and a friend of mine called me to say that her friend had been chasing a small white dog on the common and I am trying to find out more info on this. I know it was about 5pm and was getting dark but need to pin down the date as my phone history only gives me last call.

Wandsworth dog warden is aware. Battersea Dog and Cat home are aware although that was by phone so would be good to have reference confirmed please.

I am going to put up some posters locally.

There have been other sighitngs in the Balham area on the common which if you know the area is the bit that is above Bedford Hill and has a path which runs back to the one o clock club and children's play area very near to where she went missing.
