This is such a regular occurance now, dogs being taken to kennels at weekends or holiday time and despite being clearly tagged and/or chipped, these people make no effort to contact distraught owners until the working day begins. I think it is quite heartless. Glad they are now home.

Concerned about this case being so similar to the previous one I called the owner. It seems the dogs were picked up over Christmas , owner could not find out where they had been taken as the offices were closed so poor dogs spent 4 days in the kennels even though one had a tag with details on.
It also turns out that this was a duplicate post, owner's sister had registered Drum and Bayliss, so when she let me know they had been found I moved them to reunited.

This is the second time in a week that this has happened in the North Dorset area, the last was a very elderly dog from Shillingstone. It is against the law for a dog to be on a public highway off the lead and if it happens regularly then that is why they will be taken to the kennels as a deterrent for the owner to allow them to wander. It could have cost the owner a lot more if they had caused an accident.

Phoned owner and he has the dogs back.
They were found near his house but handed in to council kennels, even though one had a tag on with phone numbers and they were chipped!
Owner sadly had to pay a large bill to the council to get his dogs back.
