Absolutely right SuzeeBee. Owners make sure you update your details on Shaydee's microchip if you ever move house. You really just never know when he could pop up, has has happened a few times on this site. x
SuzeeBee
Hello Jocelyn, it is so sad that you have not had news of dear Shaydee. Do make sure that you keep his chip details up to date as you never know one day you may get that call and at least you would know what had happened to him. It is the "not knowing" that is so hard to deal with. I hope he is well loved wherever he is. Take care x

Hi Jocelyn, I am so sorry that Shaydee hasn't yet been reunited with you. We will leave his page here because, as has been said, you really just never know. I am sure, as being a puppy, he would have been passed on somehow to a good home. They probably just never thought to scan for a chip, or his chip has moved because he was young, unusual, but not impossible as we know. I do believe that wherever a dog is, he always has a connection with loved ones. You will meet again someday, somewhere. Until then, his page is still here, just in case. Thank you for the lovely post and God bless you and Shaydee, wherever he may be. x
DogLostJulie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
There is always hope. My friend had a Border Collie stolen when he was 1 year old and a few months ago he was found wandering in Maidenhead - thanks to his chip he was reunited with her and he was taken 6 years ago, he is now 7 so there definitely is always hope. Julie x

Thanks for your messages. Please don't ever leave your dog alone. I thought that he would be ok for an hour but this is what happened. if your love dogs please don't buy one that that is an older puppy without doing research into why the buyer is selling it. Well, I have scoured the north and north east side of St Albans to find the place that renegade spirit felt Shaydee was, however I have not been able to find it. I went to Wheathampstead and one of the people I spoke to said that someone had a puppy that they were keeping indoors. I've given them a poster and they said they would be in touch, hopefully the reason the dog is indoors is because who ever has it doesn't want it to be seen therefore I'm trying not to get to hopeful, but it could be my dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I remember another stafs owner taking a photo of him at the lake in St Albans but he seemed like a real dog lover , He had a large white dog and i think he lived near Jersey Farm. I've got the local dog wardens back on the case and in the surrounding area, they are looking at the information from renegade spirit also. I can't find the location they are speaking of from the train so I'm borrowing a car to look from the road side today, please wish me luck. Many Thanks JocelynLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can you remember Jocelyn if anyone has taken a special interest in Shaydee prior to him being stolen.? I know it would not be hard as he is a lovely boy. When dogs are stolen like that with no other motive I would be suspicious. Did you walk him in your house vicinity and maybe aware of seeing the same person more than once on your walk.As they could have followed you to see where you live. Also do you have a regular postman in your area ,if so give him a poster to keep an eye out, maybe he could show it to coleagues who deliver around St. Albans to also keep an eyeout for him. There cannot be many dogs around with his colouring.Just thinking of things that others have done on Doglost to get their dogs back. Some also have had good results with Renegade, so it might be worth hanging on to what was said. Keep checking Rescues etc. in case they have picked him up if he is roaming about. I am still with you on this and pray you will soon get your baby back. Take care. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi I have been in contact with renegade spirit. From what I have been told so far it seems that Shaydee has run away from whom ever stole him and he is now roaming free on the North east of St Albans. I have benn unable to locate the area they talk of; near the railway line a piece of land where buildings were demolished and it is unused. I have asked the St Albans dog warden if there are any sightings of a stray dog but as yet I have not heard from them, if anyone knows this piece of land can you let me know. Many ThanksLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

it's been some months since i last left a message. unfortunately this experience has lead to a deep depression for me. I dream about him every night and i can't cope with seeing dogs with their owners, i feel like crying all the time. i haven't stopped looking or hoping that he will come home. Please we need to stop this happening. A member of my family was taken from us and i really don't know how i am meant to carry on. At first i was still going to work but last month it became to much and after taking too much time off i had to leave my job. the thought of getting another dog is too much I don't want to give up on my little boy. Please come home Shaydee, I love you and miss you with all my heartLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

please can you remove the note aboout the sighting as it was not Shaydee. It was his brother who is bigger and a different shade. I spoke to the police yesterday and the forensics did not produce anything therefore I am really having to search and this mistake is not helpful. I hope you all understand the trauma this has bought to my family and I really do appreciate the help and support I have received, however,I believe there is NO WAY after a month that he will still be in the St Albans Area. There are too many people looking in St Albans for him, still to be in this areaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've just had a chance to read through all the post and it seems that I need to find a better picture of Shaydee. He is more blue, darker than his brother. He was the runt of the litter so he is smaller and leaner than Snoop. Shaydee has more white patches; he has four white paws and white chest and he also has a white 'star' on his neck. Sorry but I have referred to Snoop as a girl but he is a boy, it's just that I've known his mum since she was a baby and I assumed she would go for a bitch rather than a dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks to all who contacted me on Thursday about sighting Snoop, Shaydee's sister, in the park. Sorry for the confusion, my son know's the owner so he called her to find out where she was and he realised that it was his sister. I called Lewy's mum, however the message that it definately wasn't Shaydee didn't filter through. From all that has happened so far I really don't think he is in the St Albans area. By the way Shaydee is smaller than Snoop, and he is blue where Snoop is more brown he is also not as muscular. I must apologise for not keeping every one here as informed as I would like to, I don't have internet access at home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to the owner, and the reason nobody saw any one approach the people with the dog is because the owners son actually knows the people who had the 'lookalike' dog so he rang them to confirm it was them. The dog in the park was Shaydee's sister. The owner also said she will post a message this evening.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hiya, It was me who went out with Lewie's mum to have a look at the dog in Fleet Park....sorry about the confusion Jayne! V confusing situation - we waited for around 45 mins for Jocelyn's son to arrive to meet us and noone turned up, we then heard from Jayne that he had been to look and it wasn't the dog...however we were in prime location to see everything surrounding the park and we didn't see anyone arrive! Really want to help with this one as I live locally but it's proving difficult xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I know this area very well and work very close, have heard about this in the grapevine around St.Albans and know the dog too as we have 5 staffs in family. Terrible thing to happen, will do as much as i can. Agree with ShellyC owner is not postering. Will keep eyes and ears open on this one but def think it is someone local keeping hold of this hansome boy - picture doesn't show the colour of Shaydee very well - he looks more 'Champagne Blue' as i call it (blue with hints of red type thing). Very simlilar looking to Lewy (our boy that was stolen last Aug-we got him back luckily) All fingers crossed x xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
