This young lady still has me smiling hours later, 8 years today since i lost my Rosie Springer and i was feeling very sad this morning until this little lady being found brightened my day and made me laugh by being up the tree- i could imagine a couple of my spaniels doing the same - i really am so pleased she has been found safe and well.Had my wellies all ready to go out searching with Angus too. Clever girl, stay safe now xxx

Brilliant news. What a very clever girl for heading upwards into safety - I agree with Bobble, what a worry this is with so many areas flooded. Delighted sweet Izzy is back and in the blue! x

It just goes to show we need to think laterally and not always in the logical places when searching for a lost dog - especially in flooded areas

Oh what a relief that beautiful Izzy is safe :) I have been so worried about lost dogs in all the flooding around, this is the first reunited one I have read about. Clever girl for getting into a tree.

OMG - Just had a call from owners - Izzy is safe and well after spending 48 hours hours stuck UP IN A TREE right where she was lost - must have got in while flood water was high and then as it subsided she was still stuck - owners are exstatic but will update later - well done to local helper Jen who heard her crying and called the owners to the cry where they found her in the tree Last edited: 2013-12-26 11:55:29 by Angus

Angus and I are meeting at 2pm near Caldecotte Lake at the Windmill pub car park for a search if anyone wishes to join us to help search. You will need your wellies as it is VERY flooded.x
DogLostAngus
just spoken with owners - Izzy is still missing -- the area lost is the clockwise loop of the lake on the Pub side - walking from the top of the car park at the pub near to the storm drain area between Caldecotte & Simpson - there have been no sightings at all so far but area well postered
DogLostAngus
sent message to establish exactly where Izzy was lost and will go out later to look when I finish work
DogLostAngus
just correcting postcode area Simpson is MK6 & Caldecotte is MK7

This area is affected by flooding in the fields from the river - anyone out searching please be aware that you will need Wellies - I'm at work at the moment but will walk one of mine there this afternoon
