lee.lucy82
This looks the double of our little girl pippi I've tried ringing the numbers listed and sent an email but can't get hold of anyone. pippi has been missing since November and we are desperate to find her.
it's suspected she was taken by travelers so could be anywhere. does anyone have anymore information on this little border?

Where will this little one be going, and when? She looks really sweet.

What a shame that this little one wasn't Sarah's dog, and how surprising that nobody has come forward to claim her or reported the loss on here or to the local dog warden. I hope she will get a lovely forever home very soon.

I have decided to visit the Pound tomorrow early to see if this dog is Rosa. I know I'm probably mad but I think I have to go for my own sanity! Sarah
alikat
I've just had another thought. Sarah did mention to me last week that Rosa is not neutered (and that she might have been coming into season at the time she went missing). Is it possible to tell whether this little girl has been neutered - i.e. a little scar on her tummy - or does her vulva appear at all enlarged? It could save a heartbreaking wasted journey.

I have offered to travel up from Kent with Sarah some time this week. It was always said that my Border Terrier is very much like Rosa, and certainly if my little one wasn't sitting right next to me then it could be her in the photo. It has always been said by Sarah and her husband that Rosa is quite small and looks younger than she is, so it must be worth a try. Alison

Sarah I would go and visit the kennels. If it is Rosa she will react to you once she picks up your scent. If you don't go and visit she may be rehomed.

If she has been to a vets have they not scaned her? We are part of the boat community and own 2 BT's. Its a breed often found on the boats. We know from experience its so easy for one to slip in the canal and not be noticed. My husband is on a few canal forums I'll get him to post her it maybe a boating owner doesn't have internet access. Hopefully word of mouth may get around if someone is looking for herLast edited: 2013-12-08 07:29:32 by biccy

I am the owner of Rosa, I agree it really looks like Rosa. We have been in touch with the Pound that have this dog and they have sent us more pictures and a video. It really looks like her but we are not 100%. Plus she isn't micro chipped, plus they say the dog is about 18 months to 2 years old. Rosa is 5. Don't know what to do! Sarah

Could this be Rosa lost dog 60236.If you look at Rosa 60236 there were 2 border that went missing at the same time one was a poachers dog which hasnt been listed on dogs lost.Maybe this could be the poachers lost dog if not?
Ellie
Thank you for confirming Bella, would have hated to accidentally overlooked another dog.

This dog was found on the 1st December and has been posted on various FB sites by the finder. However, the reason why she has only just gone on here is because she has only just been taken to the pound. She was being held at the vets prior to coming to us.
Ellie
Yes, I think you are right Charlotte. Thanks for your help. I will email the lady who registered this little girl in the morning to check dates etc. it's so easy for things to get mixed up on Facebook!
Charlotte Watson
There is a bit of a mix up as 60982 was pulled out of canal on 1/12/13 but they seam only just registered her on dog lost .rose 60642 is the one at the vets in Chichester she was found on side of road not in canal hope this helps
Ellie
Thanks Charlotte. Had a look at that one. Not the one I am thinking of. I think it was a Border Terrier on Facebook from Rugby area found but not registered on DogLost. Could perhaps be this same one and a mix up with comments. I have contacted Rugby Pawprints to verify this.
Charlotte Watson
60642 is the number of rose the border found between Bognor and Chichester West Sussex on the 27 th nov,
Ellie
I believe a first dog was found on 1st December Imoore, but can't ind the thread onto that one again?
Ellie
Have added this little girl to my fb and DogLost Leicestershire fb
Have checked with lost Georgia ID 60366 but owner says it is not her - missing from LE65
lmoore - Area Volunteer, Wiltshire
Is this another one as have been following one that the vets have called Rose who was dragged from a canal earlier this weeks
