There is one currently with Warrendales Veterinary Centre which is Staffordshire I think. Maybe looks a bit hairier but not sure if you clip Lola

Might be worth just checking this one out - found Staffordshire. Doesn't mention a chip at all but is it worth calling them? https://www.facebook.com/DunRoaminRehoming/posts/10152650922324221

Yes it's always a red herring when chips are mentioned ... Sometimes chips aren't read properly and the dog can then be chipped again ... I know my rescue dog has two chips in her :-/ So always worth checking just in case x

BTW did you get sighters details as this mis-information has happen before when dogs have gone missing in CHIPPENHAM area, may of course be a genuine case of mistaken identify?
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
I have put Lola forward for the Countrymans Weekly magazine, it may not be in for a couple weeks and hope she will be home by then.
DogLostReynard
Sadly as there have been no positive sightings & in my experience a dog mostly & in time will make for home unless prevented , it seems she has been picked up or stolen & maybe also Brynn 61003 :(
Please therefore watch the For Sale sites & in newspapers Gun Dog publications & maybe ask Breeders, Game keepers, etc to look out for you.
Please also remember those that steal dogs & those that choose not to report the finding of a dog to the Dog Warden (it is an offence not to report a found dog) may be watching this page but please do keep the page & helpers updated as far as you can.
Good luck!Last edited: 2013-12-19 10:23:25 by Reynard

Reynard the dog hasn't been sighted again so I think you were right and it was a local dog. There wasn't a very good description of the dog other than it was black and had a collar. All vets and dog warden etc know about Lola so its just a waiting game. Any sightings I make my way as quick as I Can. Just want her home. The house is not the same without her she's my friend aswell as our family pet. She's always on my kind aswell as the kids, who have took it upon themselves on many occasions these past three weeks to go off around our local area and look for her. :( so upsetting x
DogLostReynard
Is it likely to be Lola or maybe a local dog can you contact local vet as they may know her?
Good luck!Last edited: 2013-12-14 11:48:34 by Reynard

Just informed tonight that a dog matching lolas description was sighted again down in chippenham at ivy primary school. The lady tried to catch her but sounds like she's scared was barking and ran off. Have put more posters up tonight in the school grounds and the pathway at the side of the school under the bridge. I'm not brilliant with this area at all and am struggling to find out if theirs woodland around that area that she could be in. Going back down tomorrow to have another look in daylight. She must be so scared if she's been out in the cold for this long without anyone seeing her or feeding her. Worried sick :( but on a positive note if it is her she hasn't gone far from the sighting a few weeks back so chances are she's still in that area :) x

Please see 61003 - Cocker missing from same area, same weekend - both chipped.

Rachael at her wits end. Working so hard has been out as far as Cirencester, Devizes. No news. Is working to raise profile with local media.
Lilybear
Have text owner for any news.
DogLostReynard
Any news on other dog missing in area odd two gone within a couple of days suggest newspaper article with wilts standard and advertiser if at all possible , as hopefully both dogs have been picked up and an article ( or three) might remind people that by law a stray dog must be reported to the Dog Warden Lola is chipped & apparently No good as a gun dog.Last edited: 2013-12-04 09:50:01 by Reynard

Lola has been missing since 2.30pm Friday 22/11/13 whilst on a walk. Lola last seen running across fields from Valletta Gardens, Stanton St Quinton (back of Hullavington airfield) in the direction of the dense wooded area towards the direction of Leigh Delamare/Grittleton. Owner has this evening confirmed Microchip number & will ring Petlog first thing to update that Lola missing. Dogwarden, Police, Military, Vets informed. Lola is wearing a red collar as photo. There was an unconfirmed sighting/barking heard in the Grittleton area over the weekend, owner has been out since searching, knocking door to door. Tomorrow will be out with posters, posters, posters waiting for news of a sighting so as to concentrate a search area.
Lilybear
I have spoken with owner & shared sammie's advice sheets. Will update.

Sorry to see that LOLA is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (60541)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
