YES, Dengo has returned to us!!
Thank you very much indeed for your help.
Dengo stayed away for 8 days and 7 very cold nights. He came back very skinny,but is gaining weight and seems happy to be back.
We have not a clue where he went, He must have been lost or stuck somewhere

- At last, I have just spoken to owner of Dengo and he lives in a rural area. Dengo is used to going off with his wee friends and having fun chasing rabbits etc., but the night he went missing it turned into a stormy night and his friends came home but Dengo did not. He may have become stuck down a hole or may have got into trouble if he has gone in amongst sheep. I really hope he turns up and have given advice about searching in rural areas.
