I've read on facebook that Frostie's owner has died so they are closing his facebook page down. How sad he died without finding out what happened to poor little Frostie xx
sophiesuds
Sorry just noticed it has a tan patch over left eye so apologies maybe not.

Can you have a look at a dog with similar markings to Frostie on the found page, listed as female cross breed. It has the same ear markings, but obviously slimmer than Frostie I think. It's in the North West area but worth a look anyway.

could this be frostie x http://www.doglost.co.uk/poster.php?dogId=77829#.VHUIVIusX7w

Hi quickbrew. Hope you are well, and out of hospital now. I dont know what tweetathon means either; perhaps someone can tell us. I often think of Frostie, and where she is, and I look daily for any sign that she may have ben found on different sites. If you want an older dog you could try the "Oldies club" they start from 7 years of age upwards from "Toy" dogs to Great Danes, and Jack Russells. Also you cojuld take a look on the DodLost FOUND page, where lots of dogs are abandoned. I hope one day you will get the call you have been waiting for, to say that Frostie has been found. Not only wojuld it make your day, but mine too. Paws, and fingers xd foir her safe return
quickbrew
Hello every one as im sure you all know my little Frostie has not been found i have been asked to let every one know that at 19.30 today there will be a tweetathon for Frostie, now i dont have a clue what that is but im sure you will all know lets pray this brings news of her i am broken with out her.I will shortly be going into hospital for a week when i am recovered i will start my search for a new little friend this must be small enough to ride on my lap in my wheel chair an older dog i think one happy to take life at a slower pace so please keep an eye out thank you all for your support over the last five months

quickbrew
I have decided to is now the right time to look for another dog it may take me some time to find the right dog for me this does not mean i will forget Frostie she will always be in my heart and i will think of her every day,my heart is broken without her i know some one has her and i also know ALOT of wonderful people are looking for her one day that person will get too confident and careless and slip up and Frostie will be found until that day i need the company of a new friend and i am so looking forward to this.I did ask for her facebook to be closed but the girls have agreed to scale it down.I will not be on here again until Frostie is found so it remains for me to just say thank you to every one of you that looked for her please keep looking and never forget her my very best friend sadly taken away from me

Admin, the poster for this dog is still showing quickbrew's phone number. After prolonged correspondence via the Facebook page, it seems that everyone wants this number removed because of the hoax calls, so that the posters just show the Doglost contact number. Can this be done?
alikat
Quickbrew, I promise you the Doglost poster IS on the Facebook page, along with those from other sites. x
quickbrew
please feel free to check you will see all dog lost posters have been removed from her page I was told that sharing this could be the way to find her make her hot
alikat
Hi Quickbrew, I have just shared the poster onto Frostie's Facebook page for you, so it is there for people to see again. I know it must be very hard being without your little companion, but please understand that many people have shared your poster and are looking through other missing dog listings on your behalf. Don't lose hope, just a couple of weeks ago a dog was returned to his owners after being missing for over eight years! I am sorry I'm too far away to help in any practical way, but I am sure there are some local people who would be happy to help you search parks, fields, garden sheds etc. and put up posters.
quickbrew
no im afraid there hasnt been any news at all ladies please remember i am a bit of a dinosaur and i dont have a computer i dont understand face book and for me to view these things i use my neighbours now and again i didnt mean to cause offence to any one one no you ladies do amazing work i was just pointing out that the dog lost poster has been removed from Frosties facebook and my friend here tells me that you used to share it every day im sorry i just dont want her forgotten it has been almost three months and it doesnt get easier i often break down i miss her so much and i dont have a clue what happened to her thank you all for trying
Unknown
Quickbrew. Just checking to see if there is any news?
alikat
Quickbrew, I don't understand what you are trying to say. All you have to do is go onto the poster on this site, and share it to your Facebook page, and then it will be there. Of course you haven't been forgotten. If you want to change the phone number, then you can edit your profile details to take this off.
quickbrew

quickbrew. Early days yet. I am sure that Kent police, and Doglost are doing all they can; it will just take time. They may probably be able to track down dogs that have been sold on. Time, and patgkience I qjuess is the element in this case.
quickbrew
sadly not not, very pleased to hear dogs were united with their owner great news, also concerned that other dogs might have been there and sold on or worse

Could you just check out this one - my guess it that it's a "no" as possibly the hair might be too wirey. So sorry to hear you've had hoax calls.... how nasty can people be? Please don't give up on Frostie, she's still out there somewhere. Shared on my FB page.
quickbrew
Hello i have had alot of hoax calls about Frostie people always ringing on witheld number saying they,ve seen her here or they,ve seen her there at 1.00 2.00 amin the morning pretending to be the police asking me to go out and pick her up ! so my family have decided to take my mobile number off of all posters and flyers you may see alot of new ones going up now on facebook and be wondering why these new ones dont have my number
Unknown
PS Really hope 2014 will bring news of Frostie.
Unknown
So sorry you lost your cat. I have two cats too. one is approx 16 years old, the other is 11 years old. Shame the found dog was not Frostie, perhaps it will be third time lucky. Paws xd. Happy New Year, and I hope 2014 will be a happier one for you:-)Last edited: 2013-12-31 23:18:28

Hi quickbrew Just to say that there is a site on the Internet called "The Oldies Club" (Dogs) looking for a new home. Their ages range from about 7 years upwards. Also they will let you know if a dog is good with other dogs, or cats (I see you have a cat) or if they would prefer a quiet home. You can adopt any breed from a Great Dane to a Chihuahua. They serve Rescue centres all around the UK. It is amazing how sprightly some doga are when they reach their teens; one walks 5 miles a day; not the one for you quickbrew:-) Take care
Unknown
Please try to stay positive quickbrew, as many dogs on this site have been found who were missing for a lot longer than Frostie. Of course your new dog wont replace Frostie. A good idea quickbrew to make sure that your new dog gets on with other dogs, so he/she can be a playmate for Frostie when she comes home. Keep us posted.
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
I really hope Frostie is found soon.
It's a shame the found dog wasn't her, the resemblance was uncanny.
Quickbrew, we will still continue looking for her, don't give up hope.
quickbrew
Thank you ladies.I am going to start looking for a dog in the new year not to replace my Frostie i will never stop looking for her for company i hope you understand,i live alone and its so horrible going back to an empty home, she used to sit in the window sill waiting for me.I will have to make sure the new addition gets on with other dogs for when Frostie gets home
Unknown
Also it may be an idea for some kind people to put up posters in other areas of Kent, and not just Sittingbourne, say Deal, or Cantebury say, and other post codes in Kent, as I believe some dogs have been found miles from where they live. We will still keep cross posting, and looking out for Frostie. Paws, and fingers xd. I really hope that 2014 will bring some news of Frostie`s whereabouts.
Unknown
Hi quickbrew. Was so sorry to learn that the fouibd dog was not Frostie; i was so hoping it would be, thouigh apparently there was a resemblance between the two dogs, albeit the found dog was male. No quiickbrew Frostie has not vanished i nto thin air, some one must have an idea where she is being kept. Remember it is not just Frostie`s owner who is devastated about his missing pet, but Frostie herself who must be really missing her owner, whom she loves. I appeal to you to contact Doiglost with any information in confidence, and help reunited the two of them. Thank you
quickbrew
no one has seen her she has just vanished into thin air
Kinsally
I've just found the website for Many Tears & this little dog is a he. I'm really sorry it wasn't Frostie xx
Kinsally
I don't have facebook so can only view this. I know it's a long way away but thought this dog looked similar to Frostie so thought I would post to check https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=799798683379540&id=232282896797791&set=pcb.799798970046178&source=49&refid=13
Bo
Quickbrew - it seems its not Frostie so I'm guessing this found dog may be male as that particular council don't specify gender when they post details as its a form of ID. We will keep looking.
quickbrew
i understand that the kennel have told you that it is not Frostie
Unknown
Thanks Bo. Paws, and fingers xd, I shall pray too.

We just spoke quickbrew - the little dog found 61993 looks so like Frostie. Fingers crossed

I agree quickbrew, other members of the family must be missing Frostie too. Please help mend a broken heart of a disabled gent who just wants Frostie back. Is it so much to ask? PLEASE HELP REUNITE HER. MANY THANKS
quickbrew
please if you know who has my Frostie my mate, find it in your heart to let dog lost know she is safe, alot of people are missing her they love her too please let them enjoy their christmas with out this heart break
Unknown
PS THESE PEOPLE TRY TO SELL THE DOGS FOR MONEY OF COURSE. STAY SAFE FROSTIE, UNTIL YOU ARE FOUND.
Unknown
Hi quickbrew. That is a relief. So it is possible that she is still alive somewhere. Some individuals who have no heart will either steal or find a dog, and say (And ,lie) that a relative has died, and they are not in a position to keep it. Police are aware that this goes on I think. Of course has someone has said it could be that someone thinks she is a stray, and has taken her in, not knowing an owner is desperately searching for her. This why we should keep making her "TOO HOT TO HANDLE" Posters, posters, posters. Please come home soon Frostie! it would be the best Christmas gift your owner could ever wish for. Paws, and fingers xd.
Bo
Thanks Quickbrew - I'm sure shes still alive and perhaps found by someone who has no Internet access and not aware she has a loving home.
quickbrew
she is on the councils list as missing but they say they have not picked up her corpse so i have to believe she is still alive and that some one has her why they would stealmy dog i dont have a clue
Bo
Quickbrew - I think I've confused myself. Are you saying Frostie has not been reported but she's on their system so that if she was found, they would let you know? Last edited: 2013-12-13 12:26:08 by Bo
quickbrew
i did get through to a lady at S.B.C took her quite a while but she did find Frostie on their system and she said she thought some one would of let me know if they had picked her up
Bo
Quickbrew; from Swale council online

NB - The council will try to identify all dead dogs which have been brought to our attention, so that owners can be notified, or investigations initiated. The veterinary offices where we take deceased animals will routinely scan dead dogs (and cats) for microchips. All enquires during office hours should be made to 01795 417850.

quickbrew
rang Swale Borough Council to see if they,ve picked up Frostie,s body no they dont deal with that told to ring Kent County Council ring them no they dont do that unless i know the name of the road the body was picked up from told to ring my local council which is S.B.C. !!!!!!!!!!
quickbrew
Thank you for your help i will ring them today x
Shereen
Hi Quickbrew, yes you are correct ,you need to contact Swale district council, ask to speak to somebody in the Highways dept and ask them to check their records right back to when Frostie went missing...Tell them that you need to know and that you can wait on the phone while they check or ask them to ring you back once they have checked over their records....they are normally good and will do this .It is their job to let you know....I hope that helps.x
Unknown
Hi quickbrew. You could contact your local council, or the police as accidents involving dogs have to be reported. Also contact local animal shelters etc. Still hope, and pray for her safe return (Hug)
quickbrew
please could any one advise me remember i am a dinosaur i do not have a landline just my old pay as you go mobile i do need to know before christmas if anything has happened to my Frostie is it Swale Borough Council that i ring to find out if she,s been involved in a R.T.A. and her body has been picked up i know some one did do this for me when she first went missing cant remember who,i just need to know now its been 6 weeks
Unknown
PS Meant to say contact the owner OR Doglost in confidence.
Unknown
quickbrew. I wish I could wave a magic wand for you. Frostie has to be somewhere, dogs just dont disappear into thin air do they? If anyone has any suspicions of where Frostie is, doesn`t matter how small, and insignificant you think it is please contact the owner of Doglost. You may know someone that you are sure didn`t have a dog before, but has been seen with one resembling Frostie, of course the "Owner" nay have bought Frostie in good faith, or the dog they have could have been fro m an Animal Rescue, and it is just a coincidence. Please help, and try to mend Frostie`s owners broken heart. She must be pining for her owner too. It would be a lovely Christmas gift for both of them. MANY THANKSx
quickbrew
Frostie i miss you come home please

Alerts sent out to the whole of ME postcodes.

PLEASE READ. I noitice that alerts have only been sent olut to ME9, and ME10 areas. I wonder if some lovely ,kind people could put up posters in other areas such as Gravesend, Cantebury, Deal etgc? She could be anywhere in Kent if the person who took her had a car. Please help this disabled gent to get his pet back. Thanks. Paws, and fingers xd.
Unknown
quickbrew. You are not grumpy at all, you are understandbly missing Frostie, also I do understand how frustrating it is for you being in a chair, as I spent six months in one myself a few years ago. We must keep making her "TOO HOT TO HANDLE" I did light a candle at Church for Frostie yesterday as promised.
quickbrew
thank you Jane for your kind words i dont mean to be a grumpy old so and so i miss her so much and there,s little i can do about it stuck in this chair.Thank you to who ever sent posters out to me every one was put up for me today
Unknown
quickbrew. You must not give up on Frostie, as some dogs have been missing longer, and have been reunited. We dont allow "Giving up" on Doglost do we everyone? I am going to Church tomorrow, so will light candles, and pray for Frostie`s safe return. Difficult I know, but please try, and stay positive for Frostie`s sake. I like many other on Doglost check different sites to see if she has been found. All xd.
quickbrew
Thank you to the kind person that sent me out some posters,if i can get these up i will give it one last push,im thinking some one has my little mate ill not get her back now,not one sight!
Unknown
Ps. If anyone knows the whereabouts of where Frostie is, and prefers to contact Doglost, it will be treated in the strictest confidence. As you can see from comments below her owner (quickbrew) who is also disabled is distraught about his missing pet. I appeal to your better nature if you know anything. THANK YOU. Paws xd.
Unknown
quickbrew. The person who has Frostie may have become attached to her, but she ius YOUR dog not theirs, and I am sure she is missing you, as much as you are missing her. Doglost, helpers, and the kind ladies who put posters up are doing all they can to find Frostie, so she can be back where she belongs with you. If I lkived in your area I would help more, but unfortunately I live too far away in the Central area. I am praying very hard for Frostie`s return. Paws, and fingers xd.

Quickbrew, I'm having some posters and flyers printed up and posted to you xx
Unknown
IMPORTANT. Please can you read last two posts? THANK YOU.
Unknown
Hi quickbrew. You could contact Doglost either by e.mail or phone, and they will probably put you in touch with someone in ME10 or near who has access to a printer. Of course the kind people who post on Doglost may see your comments who live in your area, and ca n help. Unfortunately I am unable to help as I live in the central area, so am too far away. But if "Push came to shove" I would certainly print the posters off, and send them to yourself or the kind lady who has offered to put them up. Can someone in the ME10 area help this disabled gentleman. Keep us posted.
quickbrew
I have had the kind offer from a lovely lady who is willing to put up more posters for me in Sittingbourne i cant do this in my chair, obviously some one has my little Frostie, and it will be good to bring her to the attention of christmas shoppers but i am low on posters many were torn down shop keepers have taken them and not displayed them please can some one tell me how and where i can print some

Still sharing on twitter. Sometimes when there is a lot of publicity the down side is it brings some odd people out but on the plus side - the word is getting out and hopefully this will bring some good news soon. OMG! The internet is so useful at spreading the word...but unfortunately it can also do the opposite with people being able to say what they like...with out consequence...rest assured Frosties page will be on Doglost until found...If anyone posts anything negative please press the report button on the post and it will immediately be removed....so we can moderate...also remember it will tell us who has reported the comment....

Please if anyone knows or has any suspicions of where Frostie may be then please could you contact Doglost with any information that could lead to her being reunited with her owner who is disabled, and in a wheelchair. She is this gentleman`s constant companion, and friend. All the owner wants is to be reunited with Frostie his pet. What a lovely early Christmas present it would be for Frostie, and her owner to be reunited. Please can you hrlp?

Have spoken with original poster, Robyn, she has seen the photos of Frostie and has said the deceased dog is definitely not Frostie.
The found dog was smooth haired, with black and tan on forehead and about 2-4 years old. Please update any facebook posts you see about it, Anita is being swamped with pms. xx
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
We are also trying to locate details of this dog and were trying to do so before giving out any information to Frosties owner. Unfortunately someone decided to phone him without confirming it was her which is not the way we would have dealt with this information.

Will keep circulating on Twitter & checking other sites for any found dogs. Fingers crossed for some good news soon.

Frostie has been missing a week today and not one sighting of her
quickbrew
there were no flyers on the ground who ever took them down took them away
DogLostRiverlady
circulating as stolen.
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Flyers torn down shouts someone is not wanting them seen!!
I would try and get more in this area but if possible ask shops if near to put in window facing out for all to see they cannot then be torn down!
Plus ask local vets to put in their waiting room.
Shops that sell dog food etc someone must know where she is!!
BB451 Kent co-ordinator
We now have a crime reference number so Frostie is listed as stolen. Can I ask that our volunteers put up posters everywhere to make her too hot to handle please? xx
quickbrew

Admin
Sorry to see that FROSTIE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (59305)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
