So glad she back. I would definitely sign a petition. I have horses and dogs and I have to camp out with horses as there are displays 200 yards from the stables for several nights. Hate the blasted things! X

Happy to see Dahlia home keep her safe now, she's a beautiful dog. X And I also would love fireworks banned, my little dog was beside herself last night with the very loud bangs. Totally unexpected especially as not even Nov.5th.

So glad she is back home & safe. Neighbours should be considerate if you have animals.
I really think there should be a ban on noisy fireworks, surely the sight is enough!

So pleased that Dalia is home safe & sound - neighbours should consider each other's, I totally agree. This can be a worrying time of year for our animals & pets.

We are careful of fireworks anyway which is why I was VERY annoyed at my neighbours. They know we keep chickens, geese as well as the dog and didn't even give us the courtesy of saying they were going to let off fireworks, which they have never done in 10 years until this year, and then not on bonfire night. Our last pooch, Lily got really upset by them too so we are very concious of the problem, as the neighbours should be as they have three dogs of their own. It's an issue of couldn't care less, not my problem. Dalia is back to normal this morning - couch potato on the bed. Will be after her walk later this afternoon - a creature of habit but aren't they all. I had wondered about starting one of those government petitions regarding fireworks. What does anyone think?

Bl****y fireworks should be banned. My dog hates them and is terrified as well. So very pleased that your beautiful girl has gone back home safely. xx

Ah wonderful news ! I was just on the point of calling you too ! So glad she has come home and please do be careful with her now you are aware she is spooked by fireworks as people use them quite indiscriminately these days without any thought or care for others. Sadly each year many dogs lose their lives in RTA s after running off spooked by fireworks :((( welcome home beautiful Dalia and please stay safe from now on xx
bugsley
Thank you for your rapid response - really appreciated. She's a rescue hound from the south of Spain, only had her 3 months. Really annoyed regarding fireworks - it's about time there was legislation to stop the indiscriminate letting off of fireworks - it's very unfair for many reasons, particularly to animals. If you know there are going to be fireowrks let off, you can take appropriate measures. Suffice to say, I have exchanged words with my neighbours who thought it was funny the dog had run off.
