We are hearing more and more of dogs getting picked up and passed on for money...easy cash.
The real problem is the punishment does not fit the crime and these days dogs are treated more as part of the family then they were decades ago. The other problem is we don't have enough prisons to lock these low lifes away.
It's way overdue that the government (whichever Party is in) must build more prisons and get tough.

It's really great to see George back with his family where he belongs, stay safe boy x

Lisa wanted me to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped with the search for George. An especially big thanks to doglost as that was how the kennel owner found George was a missing dog

Hi everyone - Great news! George's owner has just picked George up from a kennels in Essex 😄
Circumstances are very shady, confusing and upsetting.
Lisa got a call yesterday evening to say the man that picked George up was in the kebab shop in longfield. Lisa went down there to ask the man where her dog was. She was confronted by 5 men who all started taking the pi#*. Lisa lost the plot and the men were saying things like "it's just a dog"!
In the end 'John' said "I did pick him up but I didn't have anywhere to keep him so he's over my brothers in Essex, give me your number and I'll drop him off at half 9 in the morning"
Lisa called the police but they didn't arrive until after the men had left.

Turns out that George had already been dumped when lisa and 'John' had this conversation as he was picked up and take to a kennel in Essex at lunchtime the previous day!
This piece of work had no intention of returning George as he no longer had him!
What a scum bag! I hope he gets nothing but bad luck for his capers!

Police are treating it as theft as the man had picked George up but not reported/handed him in anywhere. The police are going to speak to the men in the kebab shop tomorrow to find out what they know about this 'John' as when we went back in to ask them they seem to think its some sort of joke and kept laughing - my friend got quite agitated with them but we need to keep them on side as this man is apparently a regular customer.
Lisa who George belongs to is getting dozens of crank calls : (
One lady did call today and say she saw a dog matching George's description in button street this morning when she was taking her kids to school. Been up twice and called George but no sign as yet : (

Sharing all over Facebook now. But need to see posters put up in all pubs and shops in the area, also on lamp-posts, trees etc. Owner should check with garage about CCTV. And have Police been informed?
