UPDATE by family CROSS POSTED, finder's name blanked out:

Just delivered these beautiful flowers to xxxx xxxxx. We can't thank her enough. She spotted Cash outside the Tesco in Litherland when she went over to him he was tied on a tatty lead she looked for his bald spot on his neck to identify it was Cash. She called the manager from Tesco over and asked if he had a champion newspaper because she thought this was a neighbours dog, while she was stroking him a scruffy man in his 40s asked her what she was doing and she said a dog had gone missing and it looks like him. He changed his story twice one saying he's had him 2 weeks another 2 days. After arguing with him he started to walk away and xxxxx said your not taking him and he said it's my lead so xxxxx took his lead off and said there you go but your not taking the dog and picked him up. The man then said it's ok cause I am painting anyway and walked towards the red lion pub. Thank you xxxxx for being so brave, she even had her 3 grandchildren with her xxx

Callum in the photo is 6 years old and has cerebral palsy.

Callum and CASH have grown up together and are best buddies. xxx

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC news, was so pleased to get the news from Grandie and text from AnnieSparky. I have only just logged on.

The CHAMPION worked its magic once again and really helped in putting as cover story in with photo. Thanks Grandie for mailing the photo/s. I have picked one which says it all and we love to see these photo/s make it all worthwhile.

Want to thank everybody from the bottom of our hearts. One of my mums neighbours found Cash tied up out side the local tesco, she waited for the owner to come out and challenged him. Doglost have helped us so much and we cant thank you enough for your support. Reunited piccies to follow x

Hi guys, Cash still missing. Visited RSPCA halewood and Huyton dog home still no sign. Possible sighting Sunday at 5.30pm near home but described as a puppy. Been in touch with local paper "the Champion" they putting a story in about him going missing and how much he means to my 6 year old son who has cerebral palsy. Please keep sharing thanks for all your support x
