  • Other Info This poor collie is living rough in our lovely village with no owner having come forward despite many many Facebook posts and a very tight knit community. So it is probably not from this village. It is clearly distressed and may be injured - a day or two ago it was seen on the main road back towards Maldon. It is currently thought to be hiding in Hunts FArm close but no one can catch it. It was caught by a local farmer and was fed and safely put in a trailer - but managed to escape! NOW CAUGHT.

Lost Border Collie Tollesbury (captured at last)

"Harriet Houdini" has just been collected by the Dog Warden and she is being taken to Clarkes Farm for 7 days while they try and find an owner. So lots of nice food and a warm bed. After the 7 days she is up for rehoming. So make a note of the date all you lovely people that want to give her a forever home.

If you know of anyone who has lost a female, black and white Border collie whose description could be this lovely little bitch, please contact them to have a look at this photo. She could have come from anywhere. thanks

Yes he's now been caught! Is snuggled up in the warm for the time being and the dog warden will be coming today. Hopefully he can then be reunited with some loving owners.

A lady on the Lazy dog walkers website where I shared this post has just said she saw a dog just like this running really fast on its own - military Road Co1 post code yesterday morning.

If there is anybody nearby who owns a friendly Collie other Collies sometimes will go to that Collie like long lost cousins! I know it works with mine. Maybe worth a try if there is anyone in the vicinity.

Glory is one of the dogs we are trying to eliminate. Not 100% sure of the sex as yet. Never underestimate the cleverness of collies, she would be heading home!! Everything crossed.Last edited: 2013-10-03 12:41:52 by Spindle

Wherever this dog has come from it need to be caught. Sounds frightened and tired. Have messaged couple of people who have seen the dog with some advice. So many collies missing that need to be eliminated too. Will do whatever I can.

This has been well circulated on Twitter hoping that someone recognizes this poor dog & many are concerned about his/hers welfare. Is anyone in this area going to try to organise a trap to help capture this lovely dog?

Hi Bessamour do you mean Jet from Scotland Dog ID 57668? The description for Jet says that she was heavily in pup and it was thought she had gone off somewhere to have them. Just thinking that if this were Jet then it would be noticeable that she has just had pups. Could someone check please? Also looking at the description it does say gender unknown unless it is known and they are witholding it for the time being. I am wondering if this girl/boy has been lost from a caravan site nearby in Maldon from holidaymakers!
Hope somebody is able to catch her xxLast edited: 2013-10-02 19:47:10 by ClaireC

A long shot, but could this be Jet? Picked up then dumped in Essex?
