Delighted to see Buddy is home safe and sound, and hope he settles into his new life here quickly. Sounds like he's making himself at home if he's already got his paws on the sofa! Well done, those two ladies.

I'm so pleased to see Buddy in the blue. Apparently a couple of ladies followed quietly behind him and managed to corner him and slip a lead on to walk him back home. He is now sleeping on the sofa...exhausted after his adventure. I will hopefully visit over the weekend to look at how the garden can be dog proofed.

They have got him.

Visited owners yesterday and Buddy has been spotted on numerous occasions in the same spots and very close to their house. Both owners saw him yesterday but unfortunately he ran off. He is looking well. There's is a garden he is returning to and the house owners have been feeding him and trying to gain his trust so a feeding station is being set up. I was told that he could be travelling as far as tescos and has been seen near the 3 tunnels.
Hopefully he will continue to return to this garden and the trap can be set up there.
The area is now flooded with posters

Fantastic, well if the opportunity arises...... Yes please flood the area with posters if you can.

Sorry, my intentions weren't to grab him, I always carry an extra leash for 'just in case'
I live in treneere so will keep my eyes open. I'll try and get some posters up as I didn't see any around yesterday.

Thanks jasmine93 for offer of help but I think it best you dont to try to find/catch him as we are trying to keep him calm and contained. You can help by observing and looking and phoning owners with every sighting.

Will keep an eye out whilst walking my dog :)
Hoping for safe return! Have saved the owners numbers! Last edited: 2013-09-18 09:13:24 by Jasmine93

Moogie - if you need further on-the-ground help please get in touch (DL has my number), I am relatively available as work from home, and am close to sighting areas. I will be on the lookout anyway. Owners have my numbers.

Thanks Dillondog for today. Buddy has returned to the garden he was spotted and has been seen in regular locations today and seems there's a definite triangle. Food is continually being left there and now need to get him returning and gaining trust. A trap is available as soon as needed. I will be visiting owners tomorrow. Am too far away to help, but wishing everyone good luck. Stay safe Buddy until you can be rescued.

I forgot to say - Buddy has a red collar on, as per the photo. He's chipped to Spanish rescue - owners trying to find the chip number.

Met up with owners, and got latest updates. Buddy is a rescue dog from Spain, and only arrived with his new owners on Sunday. He jumped over the garden wall on Sunday evening when let out for a wee. He has been frequently sighted around Alverton, near the Police Station, Jack Stephens Estate, Pendarves Road, near Humphry Davy School, Tolver Road, Alma Terrace, Rosevean Road and surrounding streets. Buddy is wary of people and will run. PLEASE DON'T CHASE - call the owners with sightings. I've walked all these streets and more late this afternoon, but no sign on my route. As Moogie said - he is frequenting a local garden, and it is hoped a feeding station and trap can be set up. Buddy has accepted treats from several people, but has then been too scared to be caught. Hopefully just a matter of time!

He's a big dog - about the size of my golden retriever, but a bit longer in the leg. Come on Buddy, you have a great new life waiting for you!Last edited: 2013-09-17 18:38:51 by dillondog

This is local to me. Just spoken to owner's daughter, and off to meet them shortly. Will update later.

Maybe a feeding station and dog trap can be placed in this Lady's garden?
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Spotted in a garden about 1/2 mile away from where he escaped form. He was given food but ran off again. Owners on their way down to leave more food and check out the area

Spoken to owner and given advice. Buddy has been seen several times Around Alverton Road, last one he was heading towards Treneer. IS there anyone who can help put some posters up in the area?

Poor Buddy, do hope he is safe and found very soon. Does he know the area well and are there any areas he may be drawn to ? If so I will certainly try to walk my dog there tomorrow.
