Thank you for your update tahnee and your lovely kind words. I am so pleased that I was able to be there for both Alex and yourself and with you most of the time while Jazz was away from her home. Just so very sad and devastated for you that she did not get back home safe. I did not meet your gorgeous, adorable girl but she will stay with me forever in my heart. I look forward to seeing you again soon and I will definitely be giving you a shout for help when I am out on the ground searching again for one of the many lost/stolen dogs in the North East area. Our beautiful girl Jazz is now at rest in a chappel and we get her ashes tomorrow. I can't thank you all enough for the genuine comments about our girl. She was very special and tried so hard to get someone to catch her but people have always been cautious of german shepherds and we can't change their minds I suppose.Eve is just an angel an she has a heart of gold We could not have coped without her she is such a strong brave lady and cares so much about the animals she relentlessly pursues with no agenda other than she CARES unconditionally.Trevor is another soul who provided us with the support and practical means to deal with the atrocious aftermath when our girl was found. The volunteers who gave up their time in the Sunday search I will be forever grateful and to all of you now reading this we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and know that one day all of the good caring people and animals in the world will be united somewhere to just enjoy life without the tragedies and evil that can loom so near at times.Alex is going to have a ring made from Jazz's ashes and we hope this provides some comfort. We also would like to offer a home to a stray dog ( german shepherd would be great ) so that we can help in some way. Also please let us know if you ever need help in searches and postering in the north east as we would be honoured to help. And thankyou to DOGLOST because without you we would have spent the rest of our lives searching for our girl xxxxx
Sylvia

I have spoken to helper bazil and it is now thought the deceased dog was sighted further south on the A1 nearer to the Durham area. However she is still making enquiries about this.

How awful to put a post on and then no one can make contact very distressing for Jazz's owner - hoping and praying Jazz is soon seen and can be located. Julie xx

There has been a comment made on Newcastle Cat and Dog shelters FB page by a woman....
'Hi this may not be the same pooch, but I was travelling on the a1 Gateshead on fri & there was a dog v similar lying on the side of the road with a policeman reporting the incident:( x'
We are praying this is not Jazz. I have contacted, the police, both Newcastle and Gateshead out of hours, Highways cleansing and out of hours vets, (waiting for vets to check their system). Jazz' owners are so upset, we have hit a brick wall as to getting anymore info we need. The woman who made the comment has been messaged and repeatedly asked to make contact with us and we have heard nothing from her. I am struggling to believe that a police officer has not reported this incident??? I do not know what to do next? Poor Jazz' owner is driving the A1 motorway looking for this dog...this is very distressing. We have a search planned for 3pm today and we need to find out about this dog. Unbelievable :(Last edited: 2013-09-22 12:09:02 by BBKM

BUMP PLEASE......NEW SIGHTING OF JAZZ on WED 18TH SEPT on GREAT LIME ROAD NEAR TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND COACH INN PUB...... Owners are at the area now putting posters up and asking if pub has CCTV.
We are appealing for anyone who may be able to give a few hours of their time to help search for Jazz tomorrow, Sunday from 3pm. Owners and a few of us are meeting at the COACH INN PUB on GREAT LIME ROAD. If anyone can join us and help look for this poor lovely old deaf lady we would be really grateful. Jazz has been lost for over 2 weeks now. This last sighting means Jazz has passed her home but on the other side of the railway lines :( WE HAVE TO GET THIS OLD LADY FOUND ASAP.
Owners have postered all areas. They have been out every day and night searching for Jazz. Please anyone in this area keep a lookout for Jazz. Thank you to all the offers of help coming in on FB for the search tomorrow. We are very grateful x

Everything crossed for another sighting x

No sightings reported and no sign of Jazz tonight. We put food down by the walkway she ran onto, but did not set the trap. Trevor, Johanne (owner) and myself were there from about 7pm until after 10pm. We had a drive around different areas too just in case she was on the wander, but none of us saw her. Lets hope we get another positive sighting tomorrow or if she approaches another human they will keep a hold of her. Stay safe Jazz xxLast edited: 2013-09-16 23:58:13 by BBKM

Thanks Bazil and fingers crossed that you and Trevor work your magic yet again ! xx

Thanks minigirl..... My hubby seen a dog in his torchlight twice last night in the bushes that border the field, he is 80% certain it was Jazz. I was about 150yrds away further up the top corner of field when the dog/Jazz run out and arched around him to get to the bottom corner of field and run onto one of the walkways into Wallsend Dene. Onwers were there too and they all went looking for her while I and Johanne covered the possible exits she may be using.
Jazz was playing in a garden with children on Saturday about 5pm after her sighting in St Peters field.... She also approached the dog walker who reported her sighting in the field... And last Wednesday she was sat at the entrance to the allotments.... Something tells me Jazz is wanting to be caught.. I think she is staying in the area because she knows she can't get across that extremely fast traffic Coast Road, she is a clever girl thank god. She has been in that area since last Wed.... fingers crossed today is the day we get her home. Trevor, myself and owners will be out there tonight and Trap will be set and watched constantly... Fingers crossed Trevor's fishy trail juice (lol sounds lovely) will work just like it did on Dinky ;) x Come on Jazz, lets get you home old girl...wish you could hear us :( xx
Minigirl - Area Co-ordinator, West Yorkshire
Another possible sighting of Jazz this evening in St Peters field, the dog then ran into corner walkway to Wallsend Dene.

Jazz was sighted yesterday at approx. 4.30pm in a field just off the coast road on St Peters Road at Holycross. She run out into the field to have a go at another dog (Jazz is not keen on dogs she does not know) then run back down a cut/walkway into the woods/shrubs behind the cemetery and allotments. we searched for hours, done a bbq and some of us were in that area until early hours of this morning. Trevor has been out again this morning and saw no sign of Jazz and Alex (owner) was going to the same area about 5.30am to sit with another bbq until she went to work for 8am. I have heard nothing so sadly there must have been no sightings:(

BIG thank you to everyone who was out yesterday looking and to all who live in this area and are looking out for Jazz. Another thank you to Trevor's nephew Aaron and his friend who cycled all over the area many many times to try and spot Jazz. I believe they will be out there again today cyling around to try and se her. Fantastic young teenage lads :)
Can Jazz be bumped again please xLast edited: 2013-09-15 13:31:03 by BBKM

Any chance of the 'bump' please.... been out again tonight with owner and Trevor was out too searching. Owner posted areas for a few hours and I searched the Wallsend Burn area, been in most of the wooded areas down there...Also drove around sighting areas a few times and made lots of dog walkers aware of Jazz missing. Come on lady we need to see you again, stay safe though xx
BBKM
Can Jazz be bumped please due to sighting last night at 8.30pm in Howdon :)
BBKM
Still out looking for Jazz with Sue and Alex who Jazz belongs too. A lady phoned earlier with a sighting of Jazz on Tynemouth Road, Howdon. This was at 8.30pm near Aldi. Lady did not see where she went from there, Jazz was seen between a private garden and shops. Anyone in this area please keep alook out for Jazz. It was just over 61hrs from Jazz going missimg until we got her 1st sighting on Sunday and its been just about 60hrs until she was seen again tonight. Hope we don't have to wait another 60 for her to be seen again. She has a distance of approx 1.5/2miles between sightings since Sunday. Stay safe Jazz x
Sue
I'm printing posters today and will put them around the Killingworth / West Moor area tonight. I'm at work today but if I'm needed for anything ring my mobile bazil. I'm off work tomorrow so can poster further afield and have a scout about the area. Great work last night and hopefully will produce some new leads.
BBKM
Big thank you to Sue for all your help last night....Been out for about 4/5hrs with owners and their friend with his dog who Jazz is friends with. Went to area of sighting in Wallsend. We have spoken to the lady, Vicki who saw Jazz on Sunday morning at 11.40am, zig zagging on Hadrian Road near Ashton Garage and the Cycle path This is a definite sighting of a GSD dog. When Vicki saw Jazz' photo on FB she immediately knew it was her. We have getting about 10 posters up and handed out, gave the police one, security man on Davy Bank, Hadrian Lodge and a young lad walking his dog who will look out for Jazz. Owner scented in area near to where Jazz was sighted. Fingers crossed she has stayed in the Cycle path area, lots of cozy den areas too. Hoping for a sighting sometime today. Stay safe Jazz but be seen xx
Also the poster photo of Jazz is stretched, it makes her look like a big dog when she quite a thin dog.... can it be adjusted please, if not owner will upload another pic of Jazz x

Another message via Facebook - GSD picked up in Alnwick.
Hi, probably a long shot but I saw your post about your missing dog. There was a German Shepherd found in Alnwick the other day, I saw a few comments about it being spotted on its own and then saw somebody put a status on saying that he had been picked up by the dog warden. He probably couldn't travel that far but stranger things have happened x
Sue
Message via Facebook to say a GSD spotted in Wallsend on Davy Bank yesterday morning.
Hi Sue i have just seen the picture of the dog you are searching for and thought i should tell you I saw a dog exactly like that this morning on Davy Bank in Wallsend. It ran straight at my car, this was 10.40 today. Hope this helps. XLast edited: 2013-09-09 04:36:04 by Sue

Now we have a photo of Jazz I have bumped her Page ready for poster alerts to be sent out please ADMIN !
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Thanks everyone and special thanks to helpers Sue and bazil who worked together to get the photo through to us.
Jazz is believed to have run off from her garden and there has been no news or sightings of her since then.
Her owners have contacted all the relevant authorities except Petlog which they intend doing tomorrow.
I have suggested they need to start postering to raise maximum public awareness as posters are an excellent means of bringing in sightings or news of missing dogs.
Hoping for news of Jazz very soon xx Last edited: 2013-09-08 23:02:25 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

on facebook, hope jazz is found safe, x
Sue
Shared on Facebook and offered the owner help to search for Jazz. A photo of Jazz would be a great help. I can scan a photo if this would be of any help. Hope she is found soon and safe and well.
BBKM
I have been in contact with owner...Have shared Jazz' page on FB and have said any help to look for Jazz will be really appreciated. I will call owner again tomorrow and will really try and get over that way to help look for Jazz. I will try and get some posters printed on Monday. Owner is doing all the right things and has been out on her own every day searching for Jazz. There have been no sightings. Owner lives near Railway lines, so very concerned for Jazz as she is deaf :( x
