Just had this from FB friend: "Emailed neighbours to say he is now found and.........Just had email back from a neighbour (farm next door)
the couple who were looking for him Have just dropped round to let the farm know he is fine." Looks like you can take the posters down Snowy! Such brilliant news x
Snowy
I just came on here to print some more posters and found him in the blue. Fantastic news!!

Any details on where he was found? I hope he is ok.

If he is definitely reunited i will take down the posters tonight.
csquaredb
Has Truffle definitely been found please? And is he OK?
Snowy
I put a poster up in the small car park at Polesden Lacey this morning. Also put some up further towards Ranmore. I am at work at the moment but can do some more later if required.
csquaredb
Just picked this up from a friend on a local FB page: "Spoke to someone this morning , they met someone last night and her husband saw the dog on Sunday. It was with cyclist do he presumed their dog.
It was on the junction of Hogden lane and high barn road in Ranmore.
I have asked through friend for them to comment on dog lost as don't want me to get it wrong but believe the above to be the right location.
In that case Hogden lane across fields isn't far from polsden Lacey .
I'm at work but can anyone poster polsden Lacey ? Or take their dogs upto national trust car park in Hogden lane for sniff about ?"
Snowy
I hope he is found by this time but there is a running event on Sunday 8th Sept around Ranmore. Look at this link for more information: http://eventstolive.co.uk/events/information/bacchus-half-marathon

Might be worth asking them to put some posters at the start so runners and marshalls can keep an eye out for him?
Snowy
Put some posters up around Ranmore, Critten lane and also Polesden just in case he makes it that far. Saw some posters already up which is good, the more the better so people know to look out for him.

Fingers crossed for some good news soon. xx
BBKM
Any news yet. Fingers and toes crossed xx
PaulaK
Yep I agree probably too far too Snowy. I called this morning and gave them contact number though just in case
Snowy
Fingers crossed! Although if it is Truffle someone must have picked him up and taken him over there, it is quite a distance.
MJ

Some lovely FB friends, who are over that way, have emailed neighbours and will put some posters up tomorrow. Where is Truffle's home and would he know his way home from where he was lost?
PaulaK
Truffle was seen twice today at lunchtime at Outdownd, Effingham and also at Stoneydene Bridge - are there any helpers near this area that could go out and poster etc? He is possibly heading to Ranmore??
PaulaK
Tried calling owner as if sighting correct now in my area, also area for missing Piper, but no answer
Paula Griffin's Mum
keeping everything crossed, must have been awful when the other dog attacked, it happened to me & Griffin before & it's made him fearful :( (and me) - stay safe Truffle, praying you're found/home soon x
Snowy
Sadly no sign last night.

Sounds like he has travelled a fair way in one day if he was sighted on Effingham Common road by Sunday afternoon. Is there any chance he is trying to make his way home? Does he know the area at all?

Having reread this White down is more Abinger Hammer than Common. When I first read Abinger Common I thought of the other side of the A25, I have passed on info locally. Hope there is news soon.

Poster is up in our shop window in Bookham
Snowy
Sorry to hear Truffle is missing, i do hope he is found soon.

Was the sighting near the car park where he went missing? Just wondering if he is staying local to that point.

Can't help search at the moment as stuck at work but I will go home via White Down this evening and see if there is any sign of him (unless he is found first of course).
Nells
I walked the Coldharbour side of the hill this morning and didnt see anything. I will poster later around the village and the cricket pitch and will be out walking the hill again this evening. I will pass on to others locally too. He'll be having a high time chasing pheasants! Hope he found soon.

Just spoken to owners mother who has been out searching as there was a sighting this morning. She is trying to get a photo to us. The area has been scented and family are on their way back out to continue the search.
