Thankyou everyone for your kind comments and your help in the search for my beloved dog Mushroom, sadly it wasnt a happy ending but i am so happy that i was at least able to lay her to rest and have comfort in the fact that she wasnt injured or ill she made it 6 weeks on her own and i have to believe that she was having an adventure and then just curled up and went to sleep, when she was found she looked very peaceful and was curled up in the same way she always did on my sofa and i have some comfort in that. She is now at home with me and her memories will live on. She was a very very speacial little girl, love you Mushy xxxx

So sorry. My condolences to her owners. Night, night "Mushroom" sleep tight, and join in the fun with Rosie, and Ulberto at the bridge. Oh how sad - especially as she seems to have survived until quite recently. I am so very sorry, and my thoughts are with the family at this very sad time, who do at least now have closure. Run free at the bridge, lovely Mushroom xxx

Saw Mushroom's posters today walking near and around Elvaston Castle with my dogs. I'm sorry that she is still missing. Where have the most recent sightings been?

Please keep looking for this little girl. The owner has been doing everything right including some all night watches where there had been sightings but unfortunately after much patience this 'sighting' was a beagle that looked very confident and well kept. Even her brother had mistaken this beagle for Mushroom. I believe there was another sighting very recently which we know was more likely Mushroom and was much nearer to home.

I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. This worked for a lovely yellow lab I helped reunited via Dog Lost many years ago. Hope she's home soon. Distinctive dog so there can be no question if someone spots her.

Sighted again near the Rose & Crown in Chellaston in early hours of this morning.

A sighting has just been reported from the evening of Tues 16th on Woodbine Lane near Redwood Park, Sinfin. A lady saw her but she ran off into bushes. This area backs on to the places we believe Mushroom to be frequenting.

21st & 22nd July been out with Phebe and Wispa tracker dog in both the Elvaston and Chellaston areas. Scent picked up in Elvaston taking us to bridge over the river towards station road borrowash. Scent also picked up where sighted at Chellaston Rose & Crown pub, scent took us onto canal path at rear of pub running from bonnie prince end chellaston through to Shelton Lock and then in fields close to Swarkestone Lowes Lane. Unfortunately no further sightings as yet.

23/07 - Will keep looking on foot and put up more posters.
