I heard Lucy had been found yesterday morning while I was at work and was so relieved. Rang K9 so he didn't go out looking again! Asked him to update page..thanks to him and others Lucy is now home safe and sound. No more 5.00am searching for me now..I have taken down the posters that I put up and would ask that others do the same please. Chloemasters, glad to hear yr good news too! Stay safe now Lucy.

I want to thank everyone who spread the word. Especially Barry@caninecapers... He has been brilliant, hes been out looking even in the rain. He gave us lots of advice of what to do and he is a thoroughly nice man, defo any dogs best friend. This Doglost website is fantastic too, Clarkey has been so helpful. In the end a great result, Lucy is very pleased to be home !!

Visited the area again this evening, had a chat with Lucy's owner. Nothing new to report. Hurry home soon Lucy.

Went to the block of roads where Lucy had been sighted very early this morning, but no luck. Left pile of posters at owner's house so her friends will have plenty to put through letter boxes in the area. Now you have the scenting advice you will be able to keep the trail to Lucy's home fresh and hope she follows it. I'm working long hours this week but if you need any other help just ring me. Visited Gillham Wood and surrounding area again this morning. Spoke to a few people but no "new" sightings. Will visit again this evening if necessary.

K9 Capers (fab chap) has searched Gillham Woods this morning but no sign. I hv found out that Lucy has been seen in Gillham Wood Rd, Tilgate Drive & Kewhurst Ave so is running scared but very close to home. I printed posters and put large laminated ones on tel poles and lamp posts in that block of roads. Spoke to couple of householders who heard a dog whimpering for some time yesterday afternoon..they phoned the RSPCA but they said they could not help. She was actually seen by 2 of these lovely people but would not come to them and ran away through garden fences. However, that means she is fine, probably drinking from their ponds and eating from scraps people leaving out for birds and foxes. Spoke to her owner and reassured her that Lucy is close by, garden gate is open and there's a dogflap she can get in when she returns. Friend H is helping search, has got scenting advice I sent and is going to lay trail this evening. Fingers crossed she follows it (as only short distance to get home) If anyone could do some posters and put them through doors I would suggest Hawkhurst Way & Withyham Rd(fm junctions with Withyham Rd to Shipley Lane) all of Kewhurst Avenue, Gillham Wood Road, Tilgate Drive and Shipley Lane to start with as this is the block she has been seen on. That would really help..thanks. (Large poster can be reduced to A5 size for letter boxes) Owner will man the phone and call her friend on mobile if Lucy is sighted. Have given advice about catching Lucy as she may be too scared to come if called. It's likely Lucy will be around at dawn and dusk as this is when it is quietest, although she was heard in the afternoon yesterday so she may be around at other times. Many thanks to all who are helping .. K9 Capers, Ali and others out there looking. Let's hope she follows the scent trail and is home safe by the morning. Come on Lucy.. get that little nose of yours working and go home please!

Having spoken to a local lady that spotted Lucy on the night she went missing it would seem that she has not been stolen but is an escapee. I walked Gillham Wood and local streets this morning with my dog Candy, but no luck I'm afraid.

Clarkey, I have a photo of Lucy's mother which I tried to upload but without success. Have emailed a copy to Admin. The person who registered Lucy is Lucy's breeder and an associate of mine. I am helping where possible. I am going to walk my dog Candy at Gillham Wood this morning to see if we can sniff her out. I am out of town Saturday pm and at an event on Sunday so not much help I'm afraid.

Have just spoken to Lucy's owner. Lucy went missing in the space of 2 hrs on Wed evening. Has only had her for 3 months, spaying was arranged but L has possibly come into season so pls bear that in mind. Thanks K9 Capers .. on the ball as usual and thanks for sending out emails! I have asked for similar photo to be put on here, but owner is elderly, has not got good photo and wld not know how to put it on here. K9 .. if you see posters up in area (someone has put photo on them)any chance you could take a photo of it and send to Doglost (add ref) pretty please??

Lucy has been seen in Tillgate Drive which is behind where she lives and Kewhurst Ave. She may be hiding in Gillham Wood which is in the middle of the places. Also, I understand that Lucy may be "in season". Hurry home soon Lucy.
