There have been no sightings of Pooley as yet, but as her owner is doing everythiing possible hoping there will be some good news soon. Pooleys mum has been out searching around the hills with her daughter, she has spoken to the army liaison officer locally, met with the shepherds in the area, contacted the local gamekeepers, put posters up all around the near villages. Radio Newcastle have already run an alert for Pooley and Radio Borders have agreed to do the same. The local newspapers are being contacted and people via Facebook have arranged to meet tomorrow and search the area again. I've spoken and emailed posters into other tourist information offices/campsites/holiday lodges and emailed poster into Arthurshiel rescue who are the stray kennels for Scottish Borders Council (as the mobile contact no was unavailable). Many thanks to Mike at Border Collie Rescue who said he will phone around his contacts within the area and have sent him the link to Pooleys page and the poster on Doglost. Keep safe until you are found Pooley xxxxx

Thank you so much for your help Noel it's greatly appreciated!!! I contacted Forestry Commission and spoke to a lovely lady - I emailed a poster into her and she wss going to radio through to the local ranger/s with the information so they could keep a look out for Pooley. With it being on the Pennine way I also spoke to the nearest Tourist Info. Centre at Bellingham and emailed a poster into them which they will display and also spoke to local hostel/hotel at Otterburn (again emailed poster into them also) All were so very helpful. Tried to ring owner but think she may still be out searching so will try a little later.

Couldn't get close enough to have a real chance of finding Pooley as one of our dogs gets spooked by the cracks and bangs from the manoeuvres and they were quite loud at times so no luck I'm afraid. It's quite a difficult area to search what with all the sheep/lambs around too. Can't get up there tomorrow unfortunately so hopefully she will be home safe and well before Friday. Stay safe little one. Noel

I will take a ride/walk up the valley this afternoon and keep my eyes open. How did Pooley react to other dogs and people? Hopefully, one of the local farmers will spot a strange dog and take her in to the vets. I have contacted our local vets in Rothbury who cover most of the valley and they will inform all their large animal vets to keep an eye open for information on farms or sightings. Hope she is safe and found soon. Noel

Pooley was on a walk with her owner & their other dog which is in the National Park. They were walking back towards Byrness and Pooley was walking behind. At around 2pm at a spot called "Mozie Law" she disappeared. Owner said that the army was on exercise in the distance. Large guns went off and thinks that the vibration itself could have spooked Pooley. Pooleys mum has been searching the area up until last night and spoken to walkers but she hasn't been seen. She is doing so much to find Pooley ie postering contacting the local papers & radio station, contacting vets, dog wardens. There are quite a lot of farms so these will be contacted. Mountain Rescue are being informed in case they see her and owner is contacting the Liaison Officer M.O.D. . She is going back up again with her dog and have discussed scenting the area where she was last seen. Pooley is a 2 year old rescued dog and very much loved. Her owner is devastated she is missing Please share this lovely girls details. So hope there is good news of her soon xxx
