Rhys is still missing. Thank you to all of you out there who have been helping me especially as I have been sharing my time between the intensive care unit at Chester Hospital all summer and the search for Rhys. Thanks to all those who have rung me with sightings and even to those of you that have found dogs that weren't Rhys but we were able to get back to their owners anyway. So gratifying to know you are all still out there looking. X

Similar dog on following Derby RSPCA website link. However the dog has been called "Sasha" so probably female but maybe worth double checking. Scroll down the page until you come to the found dog.

Rhys's owner visited Stanney Woods today handing out leaflets - they spoke to one gent convinced he had seen Rhys there a week or so ago.

It definitely sounds like there is a collie wandering Stanney Woods. Please keep looking out if you are in the area. Thanks x

Thanks for posting Annie.

Lost Ozzy's 54053 owners have received a report of a dog like Ozzy seen on its own in Stanney Woods, Ellesmere Port - on Wednesday I think. I will try and get more details of the timing and location.

If you are around this area, please look out for this dog. Thanks xLast edited: 2013-07-19 07:30:59 by skippy

Sorry Brook Farm I didn't know it was a dog that you had found. The website add new dogs every couple of days.

I am sure someone on here will help you with a face book page.

Thanks millypod for link, I was trying to get onto it last night but had problems bringing the stray photo/s page up.

Brook Farm there are lots of people sharing Rhys' details on fb. You are doing a brilliant job in your search, it takes just that one person to see his details and make that most important call. We are all rooting for you. x
Brook Farm
Thanks for the link. Unfortunately that was a dog I picked up when I was searching for Rhys. He has now been reunited with his elderly owner safe and sound. It was good to get the link though as even though I have had regular contact with the council they never told me that they post photos. I'm not sure how to do the facebook page but will try and get some help. Thanks to everyone again

So sorry Rhys hasnt been found yet...will keep a lookout and share his page. Have you thought of making a Facebook page for him maybe called "Find Rhys"? I'm pretty new to facebook but it does seem to help in combination with DogLost xx

RHYS IS STILL MISSING - PLEASE KEEP LOOKING FOR HIM!
Brook Farm
Don't forget everyone, Rhys is still missing so please keep looking on those walks and spread the word. Thanks for all of you that are helping.
Brook Farm
Thanka for that information Sharpei Mum. Sorry it's taken a while to get back to you but the stress, lack of sleep and worry finally caught up with me and I collapsed with exhaustion - not much good to Rhys! Getting back with the search now. Thanks again for keeping him in your mind - it means a hell of a lot knowing there are others out there. By the way there is a Jack Russell missing from Ledsham now as well as the Spaniel from Woodbank. Be careful with your dogs everyone!

You've probably got these numbers, but just in case, these might help if you think he's in Wales

Thanks Sharpei Mum, Just keep telling as many people as you can about him. And any ideas for postering will be good. Didn't think of the train station but a lovely lady called Gill is doing the Wirral Hundred and Urenco and more for me. You're support is really great. Thanks again.
Sharpei Mum
I've posted again on fb, and a couple of times on Friends of Birkenhead Kennels fb page asking them to share/keep an eye out. Sorry I can't be more help, but 8 months pregnant. If you need me to poster Capenhurst lane down to the Wirral Hundred, train station, Urenco, etc let me know x

Will travel anywhere! Was in Wales Saturday as a possible sighting in Holywell. No luck but spread the word a bit more. There are some amazing people out there. Have distributed about 100 posters already and some people have offered to take more. Loads of people have offered to share him on facebook too and have told them to share this website.

We saw a dog similar at bridge water canal at Preston brook very friendly, a couple of barge owners decided to take him/her aboard......try local dog pound or rspca x

Could you please advise your people in North Wales too. We are only a short run from the border. Whilst I have informed their dog warden I have had a sighting of a similar dog in Holywell. Thanks
Brook Farm
Thanks everyone! Sorry thought I had added photo earlier - turns out my knowledge of computers is rubbish. Rhys is my shadow he will be totally disorientated without me and absolutely terrified. If anyone finds him and can't catch him wistle to him and call him Rhys ee. Thanks again

Sorry to see that RHYS is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (53295)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
