Hi just a thought...if there are any ads in the area for staffy puppies, perhaps you could ask to see a picture of mum in case the people who took her used her for breeding purposes? Really hope you find Billy soon. Good luck xxx

The dog we have is microchipped and have spoken to the previous owner so sorry there was no way she was Billy. Sorry your hopes were raised unnecessarily.

i am billys owner.. i have spoketo the vets in bristol and it is not billy. i amstill recieving phone calls so hopefully fingers crossed billy will get found

Grey and white staffie found in BD4 this weekend. A bitch which has possibly had pups at some point. I've spoken to Billy's owners and they're phoning the finder. Fingers crossed xx

Thanks emcinnes. I posted a link on fb for the gumtree dog but the owner said it wasn't Billy. Slightly different markings and the dog was originally posted before Billy was taken. Thanks for pointing the link out though. It's great to see how vigilant people are being xx

It has now been confirmed that Billy was handed to someone who falsely claimed ownership of her.
Please look out for Billy and circulate her poster far and wide

Thanks everyone.
Have spoken to Billy's owner and advised postering the area she went missing.
The Telegraph and Argus have been approached and have agreed to consider a feature on Billy.
If found, she must be reported to the dog warden, as is required by LAW

• If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
• A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (53098)
