We're told it happened at around 10 o'clock on Saturday night - the dog was found injured on the roundabout near Morrisons, he's now at Hampden Vets - being treated for a collapsed lung and two broken legs. The future of the Jack Russell cross is in doubt, if the owner doesn't come forward by tomorrow.

Good Luck today Jazz....hope all goes well .xxx

Monday morning update: vet has just phoned, he has just x-rayed Jazz's leg to find 2 one just above the other so will be a tricky operation and take a whole morning to fix. So the operation will now go ahead tomorrow morning, however Jazz is alert and bright this morning vet seems happy with his progress so far.☺
Paula Griffin's Mum
Hope today goes well for you little Jazzy boy, sending you lots of love & get well very soon, your loving family want you home where you belong, big, gentle hugs...
ClaireC
So very pleased to see this improvement on this boy. Thank you for update. xx
Shereen
Jazz has a Facebook page of his own now..its an open group so anyone can view the page...there are an updated picture of him on there from today...

http://www.facebook.com/groups/395118833935069/?fref=ts

Afternoon update: Vet rang and jazz has a neck injury possibly a slipped disc. His front legs he is not bending or coordinating possibly due to nerve damage. Neurogical damage is unknown yet but will tell in time. He is defiantly progressed since Sunday as he was in an oxygen tent and had bleeding on the chest but is now able to get himself up and out into the courtyard himself however this takes all his strength and he has to lay down after. Syringe feeding is still happening as he isn't chewing for himself. The vet has decided to operate on his fractured leg on Monday if Jazz continues to build up his strength. I am also happy to say I will be visiting jazz at 4.30pm and finally going to meet the girl that witnessed and found jazz as she would love to see him words cannot describe how thankful I am to her but rest assure she will be getting a great big hug and flowers which isn't nearly enough for what she did that night and after for my little jazz

Evening update: I finally got to meet the Kenia, the girl that rushed jazz to the vets and put the appeal out to find me. Flowers and hugs just seemed pathetic after what she has done for jazz. Jazz however is eating solids himself yippee!!!!. He still has a long way to go however as he is still extremely sore and extremely exhausted. 😞Last edited: 2013-06-06 23:43:58 by Shereen

So pleased that Jazz has improved. I hope they get the selfish person who drove off, and left him. I think people like that are probably selfish individuals anyway. Am sure that Jazz is getting loads of tlc from Gemma, and the rest of his family. Sending Jazz lots of love, and healing thoughts for his recovery. I have donated, and was more than happy to do so. We are all rooting for you Jazz, and will be praying for you too.xxxxxxx
Paula Griffin's Mum
Agree LindaT, heartless & soul less, won't waste energy stressing about them!! saving & sending healing energy for Jazzy, poor wee man who's now in good hands :) - sending you healing thoughts Jazzy, bless your heart x
Shereen
Thank you all...The good news is Jazzy is a bit brighter today so hopefully his head is feeling a bit better...keep them positive thoughts coming, they are working!

owner Gemma's update:THURSDAYS UPDATE: Jazz is a lot brighter today nurses say he is getting stronger by the day. Going out into the courtyard however takes it out of him quite a bit but under the circumstances is understandable. He is still being syringed fed but holding his neck up now which is a good sign, the stronger he gets the better chance for him to go for his operation. Awaiting on the vet to call and then a visit from me at 4.30pm so will again update later. Have a good day all and pls if its only for a second can everyone just say a little prayer for my little jazzy boy xx

I just want to say Thank you to NickyJ for registering him here...we may not of heard of him if you hadn't.xxxLast edited: 2013-06-06 09:36:50 by Shereen

Sending Jazz lots of love, and ((((HUGS)))), and molre healing vibes. Will be donating today.
LindaT
Poor little soul, I hope he makes a full recovery. As a client of this veterinary practice I can vouch for the fact that Hampden vet hospital and all it`s staff are wonderful, very caring and with great expertise and facilities... Jazzy couldn`t possibly be in better hands. I do hope he has the strength and will to overcome all these injuries, it would be good if the driver of the car could be traced but I wouldn`t hold my breath .... heartless doesn`t even cover it :-(
ClaireC
As Hampden's are my vets and have been for some past 25 years they are well known to me as I to them. This Practice and their vets have so much expertise and the nursing staff are truly wonderful. I am also willing Jazzy better. Fingers crossed for some positive news that he is on the up and up xx
Shereen
Owner went to see jazz today he had just been out in the courtyard and had worn himself, so upsetting to see him She barely got a tail wag he is still only being fed thru a syringe :(
Shereen
Yes I agree cs!..The vets and nurses have been amazing!

Huge Thanks to those who have kindly donated!....Jazz's vets bill stands at £600 so far,but he needs that op on his leg hopefully in the next few days which could cost Approx £900..They do need Jazz to be stronger to do this though.
cs
thanks very much for setting up that facility, I have donated now so just fingers crossed for Jazzy's recovery and of course great admiration for these vets who took him in and treated him without knowing who his owner was
Shereen

...is there anyone local who could print a few posters and put them up?...just wondering if he could belong to an elderly person,or someone who doesn't have access to the internet.Last edited: 2013-06-04 00:02:19 by Shereen
cs
Oh I see, good for you. He is coming up on other local new sites but no sign yet of anyone posting him as lost as far as I can see
NickyJ
I listed this found dog, but I don't know any more as I copied from the local radio station website, Mix96. Apparently Hampden Vets are looking after him. Poor little chap, I hope his owners trace him. X
