- Other Info As he yelped when I grabbed him he did seem ok but his might have been knocked by a vehicle as he did yelp again when I adjusted my hold on him. Later as we drove to the Police station though he seemed just fine, so it may just have been nerves. :)

Anyhow I finally had a call back from the Battersea Dogs home who for a long time insisted that no such dog arrived with them on the following morning from Hounslow Police !! I insisted however that he go and triple triple check because I was told it went to them !
After he called back about 20mins later it seems that he was wrong and they had indeed had this dog in !
(Mistakenly relayed to them as being found on Hounslow High street!!) but ... get this ...
AFTER just SEVEN days, they release the dog into rehoming and on the 22nd June (!!) they gave it to a new owner !
Whilst on one hand I am delighted it has found what we will all hope is a great new home ...
what if ..
this dog has been stolen and was dumped in the area that I found him ... what if that owner is still looking for him ?
If this is the Dogs home attitude after just 7 days what chance have I of ever getting my (stolen) dog back !!!??? :( - 2013-06-24 22:59 Julie B

- This looks more like a standard schnauzer-you wouldnt be able to carry many giant schnauzers in your arms .

- OK looks like the dog is now at Battersea Dogs Home. 02076223626.

- I do NOT KNOW what breed this dog is ! I hope someone can correct it, if it is wrong.
When we called the Police they were 'on their way', but having waited a long time for them having managed to eventually capture the doggie, we were told they weren't sending anyone !
We could not take the doggie ourselves last night.
Worrying ... however on the way to Hounslow (as Feltham Station was shut!) we saw a police car and two very helpful policewomen we very happy to help.

- Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
