Well done Vicky. Keep going. x

There are posters put up around the park & warden at Cudmore grove have been made aware, they've also knocked on residents doors so they know to look out & listen out for her & dog walkers & horse riders of the area have been asked to keep eye open (we know a fair few) there's been no sightings looking more likely she's been taken.

is their a website for the caravan park you can put up a poster for ppl to look at . if in the fields they go into survival mode and will hide during day and come out at night or very early morning x
Tinksbaby
please dont give up on her. we have for last 3 weeks been searching in fields for a lost dog. we got ppl leaving food out postered all around area. and she did appear at a ladys house to get the food in garden. this was a large area with corn fields trees bushes. but it paid off never give up

Thank you Vicky. Never give up hope, but I understand. Something may come to light, you never know. I have to ask if there are any water area, road, railway, any dangers at all near by, do you know? I would suggest that some posters remain up or get renewed, because it only takes for the right person to see one poster - you never know which poster it will be. x

The dog went missing from mobile home at Fenn farm east mersea, was out outside & escaped from fences area. She was briefly sighted crossing the road & going into fields & neighbours said they heard barking. They went out that day & every day for 2weeks searching fields, knocking on doors & putting up posters, people who walk dogs in area have been searching, we know many people with horses they too have kept eyes open. They have a sent trail & also a BBQ to see if she is about if she'll be enticed. Local & colchester vets notified plus dog warden & local rehoming centres. No sightings have been reported since the day she went. I have also posted it on many selling pages on Facebook just in case someone picked her up & sold her on. She was wearing a black collar with silver bones on it & a name tag but sadly not microchipped. Owners have lost hope of finding her now.

Vicky, can you give us more info on who picked a dog up, or what was said? Thank you. x

Well done for all your hard work. A caravan site - lots of people coming and going? I think you need to try and get word out to everyone who has been to the park, or those who were visited on the park, the day she went missing. See if anyone can help you to find out who had visitors that day. You will also need to tell everyone that there is a reward for information leading to her being returned home safe. You will also need reward on the poster and be prepared to give one - don't say how much. This is what sometimes makes people give a dog back, sadly. But then again, a kind person would never have nabbed her anyway and a genuine person wouldn't easily accept a reward either. If she has found her way into a decent person's hands, they would not have know she was stolen, if that was the case. But I really think the clues lie in what happened the day she went missing and who was around, and how exactly she disappeared. Did owners call the road people, just to check? Could she have got stuck anywhere being little? Or maybe someone found her and simply kept her, not knowing they must report to dog warden. And sometimes, people mistakenly think that dog wardens remove the dogs instead of reuniting them. What can you tell us Vicky? Thank you. x

This little dog is still missing & it is feared she has potentially been picked up & taken. How any one can take someone's much loved pet is beyond me but absolutely no sightings since the day she went missing :(

I have shared Harpie's details on my facebook and twitter, hope she is home soon x

Still missing. Seems such a shame, she was sighted the first day she went missing then nothing since :( not sure how much more can be done now other than keeping fingers crossed x
VickyWiltcher
I am sure many have been notified, posters up & vets, dog warden, police etc have all been notified.
DogLostOwl
Have all the other farms in the area been notified?
linda
I will be searching from the old golf house area along seawall/beach to cudmore grove. this morning. shall I poster their or has it been done?
linda
That's good,If we could just get a sighting then we could really get a search going.
VickyWiltcher
They've looked every where & always lead back to Fenn Farm. There's posters everywhere but still no sightings :( ..... There was other people out searching tonight as owner heard people shouting the dogs name which is heart warming to know people are helping but as time goes on its getting less hopeful :(
linda
Reading about other missing dogs on here and a lot come back near to where they went missing.it being a caravan park was hoping their would be BBQ smells that would bring her out. shes only very tiny so could she be miles away. is she a good walker?
VickyWiltcher
I think it could be an idea to see if a few people are willing to walk along the sea wall from the Strood around to Cudmore Grove? I'd be willing to help but with a newborn baby I have limited time to arrange anything- are there organisers who can arrange something??

Thank you Clarkey. Let's get this baby home. x
VickyWiltcher
Received email & passed onto owner. Thing is its such a vast area it's unknown exactly where she could be now :(

linda.. it would be a good idea to leave some of the owner's clothing or Harpie's bedding in a crate if you have one. As close to the place she was lost from or where she was definitely seen, along with some smelly food (sardines, sausages work well) Make sure it's covered or in sheltered spot. If there is somewhere suitable in same area to hv a bbq then try that! I will send out some email advice to VickyWiltcher who can pass it the owner.
linda
don't know if its been mentioned but she is in season. so if anyone has sniffer dog or stud dog we could use it might be helpful. Can anyone give us some suggestion ?should food or a crate be left near the area where she was last thought to be seen ?Last edited: 2013-06-01 15:05:16 by linda

Sorry to see that HARPIE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (52982)
