Great news, Yes a chip would be good !
LYDNSYD
That is the best news ever. I'm guessing he wasn't picked up by the Silver Car - if only dogs could talk. Hope he get a Microchipped just in case he escapes again - it will be a lot less worry for you.
Kirsten
He has now been found and reunited with owners. Thank you all for you help here at dog lost. You have all be fantastic :)
LYDNSYD
I keep checking in hoping for some good news or sightings. Is there any CCTV in the area the silver car was seen? Sometimes private houses have cameras so worth a look.
Mollychops
Texted another message for owner to call me
Kirsten
Hi yes contacted vets from Newport to cheltenham and am in regular conntact with them daily. Buddy did run off but was seen not long after getting into a silver car possibly a vauxhall astra or vectra, with a lad who is in his 20's we ave been trying to locate the car. We have put posters up and continue to hand out flyers and put more posters up.
We have contacted local papers and papers of surrounding areas also.
No news still at the moment :(
LYDNSYD
Kirsten,You are doing a great job in trying to get Buddy back now you just need a sighting! Have you contacted all the vets in your area and surrounding areas - if this car picked up Buddy he could possibly be taken over to a bordering county. On Buddy's info it says he ran off after the accident - do you now think he was put into the car? Put Large Posters up at the area this car was travelling in as they may go back & forth from there regularly. In the past I have put up large painted signs on the verges of roads for some missing dogs and they do get noticed! Contact as many Vets as possible - You can get a list of vets by clicking on Find a Vet on the RH side of this page. Do you get a free paper deilvered - if you do you could put an ad in it. Re Dog Wardens - have you sent missing posters to all Dog Wardens in the bordering areas? There is a 7 day Rule where by if a dog isn't microchipped and owners can't be traced & claimed in 7 days they can go up for rehoming.Send missing posters to Dog Rehoming Centres. You really can't put up too many posters - POSTER POWER does work. Just in case he is still near the Golf Club vicinity - take your other dog there to do some scenting. Keep us posted as it will help the Doglost volunteers know what has been done & where to look etc. Good Luck on find Buddy - I've got everything crossed he will be back home very soon.Last edited: 2013-06-01 13:10:17 by LYDNSYD

Kirsten Ie changed the breed now, Please can you get in touch, I need to know if you've received my advice sheets and his poster, My number is on my email ,
Kirsten
Hi i was wondering also if i could change the breed of dog on his profile because when people see rottie cross I think they immediatly think of him being predomently black with the tan markings. Could we change it to bull breed staffy type cross? Ive tried to do it myself but unsure how to change it. Thank you.
Kirsten
Just an update 5 days now and we still have no more new information on buddy, no more sightings either.
We still need to try and find the owner of the SILVER car who POSSIBLY picked him up at 5pm on the night he went missing 28/05/2013. Thought to be possibly a vauxall astra or vectra with a baby or child on board sign in the back window. We have posted up missing flyers in coleford and surrounding villages. Also we have people searching on a 24 hour basis in various areas.
Mollychops
Kirstin , Ive just emailed you a link to his poster and my advice sheets, Please have a good read of them, and get postering !
LYDNSYD
Just got an txt msg back from Buddy's owner & the found dog is more Rottie looking than Buddy - really sad it wasn't him.
Is it possible to send an advice sheet to her as perhaps scenting might be an option.
Mollychops
That's a shame.
Kirsten

Kristen - someone has left a message on NMPR for you - have you seen it? They live in Chisledon and found a Young Rottie with White on chest & have taken it to Vets in Wroughton. It might be a long shot but it could be worth checking out.
