That would be me who phoned her last Friday (21st) I was on my way to pick the kids up and there was this dog that ran past me as I drove down Orret's Meadow Road, I thought it looked familiar and thought it was probably from a poster sent from doglost so I slowed down and did calling noises from the car to attact its attention but it was taking no notice. I had to turn right down New Hey Road, had to pick the children up and it was very near closing time so it was about 5.40pm (otherwise I would have followed the dog, you don't know how annoyed I feel about not being able to follow it) but the dog continued straight over that junction and continued down the same road towards Carr Bridge Road. I grabbed the kids and got some water in a bottle incase I saw the dog again. I took a detour home and looked all round that area again, but obviously couldn't leave the car cause of the kids but saw nothing. But there is green land along Carr Bridge Road!

Got home, typically the computer played up but as soon as I could I got on the site and phoned the owner.

Now the colouring on this dog was the same as Lucy's but unfortunately I couldn't take note of whether the dog had white on its face or chest because basically once it had passed me in the car and I realised it did't have an owner, I was unable to see it from the front.

Hope that give you more information Skippy.

Hope Lucy is found and home very soon :-)Last edited: 2013-06-25 15:26:20 by Asa&Roxy

Another possible sighting of Lucy has been reported to Lucy's owner on Friday. I am trying to get more information about exactly where this was, but the following is copied from Lucy's post on facebook.

I had a phone call about 6.30ish tonight a lady believed she may have seen Lucy on the woodchurch near to some grass land, She was unable to get her as she was on her way to pick her children up but when she came back that way there was no sign of her. We went up there straight away an dove all around the estate, walked through the fields an trees but no sign. We don`t know if this sighting was her but it`s so nice to know that people are still keeping an eye out for her xxx

Please keep looking out for Lucy. Thanks x

Aww, really hoping she'd be home by now. Glad she's microchipped, hoping for some good news soon.

Thanks Baggy Dog.x

Lucy's owner has had news of a possible sighting of Lucy. Last Thursday or Friday on Birkenhead Road, close to Carr Farm. This is close to where one of the train drivers saw her last near Carr Lane - heading away from the line!

Lucy's owner has been searching around this area, but no sign yet. More posters are going up and hopefully it is only a matter of time before we get further sightings. x

I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you.

Fingers crossed Lucy is found very soon xx

I have been in contact with Lucy's owner. She is doing all the right things. Dog warden, and local vets have been informed, and posters are going up.

Network Rail are aware that Lucy was seen around the rail tracks, and they have no reported accidents in the area. Lucy was seen by train drivers in the area between Carr Lane, Moreton and Meols station on the evening she went missing, and again the following day, but there have been no further sightings. This area is quite open and there are fields, ditches and lots of places Lucy could be hiding out.

Please keep your eyes open for Lucy if you are in the area. All crossed for good news of her soon. x
