Sorry you have had no luck with the council VHewett - there is no excuse for their attitude. A friend of mine posts the stray dogs picked up by the dog warden on his facebook page Stoke Pets - Lost & Found. I cross post them onto Doglost for better coverage so they get to be seen. The dog warden puts the pictures initially on the government website www.newcastle-staffs.gov.uk if you look for environment and click on Stray Dogs this picture of the lab is still there. They never print the gender or any other details. The dogs home have been known to say the dog is not there and then owners visit the kennels and their dog is sitting there. Very frustrating, please keep trying the kennels if you think this is your dog. I hope you find Tinker, dogs are turning up all over the place after being missing for a long time so please do not give up hope. If I find any contact numbers that may be of help I will put them on here.

VHewett I think it will be dealt with quicker if you put your posts on Tinker's lost page and refer to the found page from there. My understanding is anything written in lost is flagged up quicker. Tinker is your missing dog and you are enquiring about her. Good luck xx

I have contacted the council who couldn't tell me anything about this dog, and treated me like I was bonkers for calling as my dog went missing months ago from a different county. Feel very upset- I just wanted to know more details on this dog . Called the dogs home number as well - they at first. Said they hadn't had any black lab cross dogs in , and then when I asked them to check said that the only black dog they had was male and had half a tail, quite honestly not sure if they are talking about the same dog. Linda, who posted this, do you know anymore or have a different contact number? Thanks

I've commented on Tinker's lost page to flag your comment up VHewett. Must say they do look very similar. Good luck hope its her xx

This dog looks very similar to our female we lost from Oxfordshire at the beginning of February - Tinker? Is it a female? Has she been neutered and does she have all her teeth? Am being hopeful ...but that is all I can be!

Is it for sure that this is a lab cross? Looks a lot like a pure lab.
