Another long shot but may be worth it?

I know it's a longshot, but worth checking this one out, now at Leigh Cats and dogs home. She may have been taken for breeding purposes, and this one looks like she's had a litter.

There is a Scottie on the found section of Deerness Kennels, Co Durham - N27 Ref 253/13 North Durham. No details if bitch or dog and hasn't had a trim in a long while. Please check to see if this may be Jett? xLast edited: 2013-12-23 22:15:55 by sallybee

Dear Scuba Ros.....
This was a very large transit van and I mean large. The dog warden has a small white van.

Have you found her? The only reason I ask, I was at Shipley ASDA yesterday and a man had a black Scottie on a lead. I didn't take note of the sex but stopped to pet and talk to the dog, who became VERY excitable as soon as I spoke to him/her. It looked like a full Scottie. Probably a coincidence, or perhaps you've found her, but I figured there can't be too many Scotties in Shipley so maybe this man had found her first. I didn't really speak to him, just the dog!

I wonder if dog thieves would actually stop someone and ask them for directions to the dog they intend to steal??? Draw attention to themselves that would. I've got a feeling the dog warden drives a white van so I'm going to ring them on Monday and ask. Keep positive Jett's mum, we can still get her back. Get those posters up!!!!!

Hello,
I spoke with you on 8 May the day you lost your dogs and asked your name and your home location, so that if I found Jett I could then return her. I was standing by the garage where you located the first of your pets. Hope you can remember. About ten minutes before you turned up, a couple of guys in a large white transit van heading towards Thackley on the back road, stopped me and asked if I had seen a loose dog.I told them I hadn`t, which I had not. When I asked for the description of the dog they said it was a small black dog and they said that someone had told them that it had been seen running along Windhill Old Road in the Thackley direction. The two white males aged about 30 then drove off in a hurry and I didn`t see them again .I didn`t know if they too had lost a dog, but it seemed too much of a coincidence and afterwards when you gave me the description of Jett.I wondered if they had been helping you locate her. If not then they could have been intending to steal her and may have done so if they managed to catch up with her.

It was nice to meet up with you today. I have shared on facebook. By the way, if the people at doglost have not already flagged this up with you, you need to physically take yourself to the dog holding kennels - Fleet kennels and the RSPCA, and I'd suggest the Leeds as well as the Bradford branch, because they can be picked up by Leeds. They often take in dogs and don't recognise them from your description over the phone. Also some take the attitude that if your dog is lost then you haven't taken proper care of it and it deserves a better home. That nonsense of course but they could still have your dog and you not know it. And of course they can be legally re-homed after 7 days, so if Jett is missing for a while (hopefully not) you need to go every week. Good luck, RosLast edited: 2013-05-10 11:07:21 by Scuba Ros

By the way, do you walk Jett on the recreation ground on Thackley Old Road? I've probably seen you if so, I seem to remember seeing a black scottie sometimes there. Good luck with the search

Sorry to hear that Jett has gone missing. I live in BD18, very near Windhill cricket club in fact. I do hope that the dog that was found is Jett, but if not I'll help look round the area. Whereabouts are you so I know where to start looking? Also can help with postering. I usually do Petvax, Vets4pets, Shipley vets and Avenue vets. Also Shipley and Eccleshill swimming baths and Morrison's in addition to the lampost campaign. If this dog is not Jett I can do this for you if not already done. So please let me know what postering still needs doing. Fingers and paws crossed Jett is home very soon. Last edited: 2013-05-09 18:13:35 by Scuba Ros

Have amended the breed description to Scottish Terrier as Jett is not crossed with a Cavalier

Rang and spoke to owners daughter who listed Jett.
She escaped yesterday from the garden with 2 other dogs after they dug their way out. The other 2 have been found but Jett is still missing. They contacted the dog warden who informed them that a black dog was picked up by Windhill Cricket Club and the finder left a contact no. However, as yet, Jetts owner has not been able to get a reply. Could be the finders are at work so will be trying again this evening. Fleet Kennels have been notified and I have advised to get posters tomorrow if still no contact with the finder. Fingers crossed the found dog is Jett and she is home soon xx
