Oh no! I so hate the railways. My heart goes out to you. It is a lot to cope with - losing your boy and the shock on top of it. God bless you sweet Bracken, you are safe now precious and have earned your little wings. Jade, please know it would have been quick and without pain. He can now rest peacefully because you did find him. Bracken is a special fur baby, look at those beautiful eyes. God was there, waiting to catch him. You will always be together forever. He's only a whisper away. In time may your hearts know peace. xxx

Thanks for all the lovely comments very heartwarming didn't realise this happened so regularly. The thing is we don't live anywhere near a rail line :-( just so unlucky.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who got involve in the search for bracken, It's amazing how people pull together when something like this happens, we were praying for a happy ending but sadly it wasn't to be the whole family are devastated at what has happened such a waste! My sister had to collect him today from Essex and confirmed that it was bracken:-( RIP bracken missing you so much already love ya!!

I'm very sad to tell you that Bracken's body has been found near the Railway line. This is just so very sad and my thoughts are with Bracken's owners and everybody who tried to get Bracken home. Run free in the sunshine over Rainbow Bridge xxx

Just had information from Facebook that bracken was seen yesterday on the train tracks in lakenham, someone tried to get him but he ran away if he is seen he may be tempted by food if not get in contact with the owner and just keep him in sight. We are going to have another look in this area today thanks

Message from the owner's daughter...
We have been looking at a map and the last sighting was when he crossed a river when he got scared. That was sandy lane/cattle market area, an he went over a train track .. By the looks of the map as he has headed tht way he could be arming hall way , caster st Edmund . I believe tho is nr14 ... There is a lot of farmland around here. So if any body nos of people that live in this area please pass this on. We are now going for a look around this area x

I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you.

Bracken is missing from home, he has been seen in the area but he is very scared. If seen please contact the owner immediately, please do not try to catch him. The Dog Warden has been notified.
I will E-mail general information including contact numbers for vets in the area. I will add Bracken's details to Dog Lost Norfolk and Suffolk facebook group and other groups in the area.
