Sorry for any confusion I have caused, I may have misheard on area but she was definately found on the M40. I will call the finder tomorrow to double check on the location/area. Andi he called the motorway authorities who told him to take the dog home,it was after office hours and I guess driving a lorry off of route looking for kennels or vets was not possible and the poor thing was terrified so he took her home.

Could mean postcode M40 which is not far from Chorley?
Shereen
maybe there is no out of hours DW service where she was found so to keep her safe to go with the driver.
Andi
Details are a bit confusing - M40 is NOT near Chorley, Lancs - and how come to Essex if found in Lancs??
Jenni S
Hope this little girl is soon reunited with her family.
