Wow, bet there were tears of happiness! Welcome home. x
Snowy
Oh my god i can't believe it! That is wonderful news, i bet you can't believe it at the moment either.

Another win for the microchip. After almost a year as well. Really good that the vet scanned as routine, i wish they would all do that.

Stay safe little Kizzi and welcome home! xx
wizziwongles
Kizzi was returned to us by the police this week as she had been taken into a vet in bagshot for vaccinations by her new owners. They had bought her from a friend of a friend at christmas - details of whom are now with the police.

Thank goodness the vet scanned her as routine as she was a new dog to them even though her owners were known to them and established customers.

It should be said though that if I hadn't highlighted her as stolen they wouldn't have called the police. Worth doing evem if you aren't sure whether your dog has been lost or stolen as it brought her home to us.

Thanks to this site for the support it gives to people in their hours of need and for helping to spread the word of thieves etc
Snowy
Putting up posters for Truffle and saw the old ones still there for Kizzi. I do hope you get some good news soon. xx
wizziwongles
Still no news of Kizzi - we are all still so upset. She would be coming into season around now so would perhaps have puppies. If anyone sees any chihuahuas with puppies for sale it could be her so please keep your eyes open. Thanks

Shame about vets not scanning. New owners of a dog could well be legitimate - and have been taken in by thieves. But on the positive side at least she is microchipped. Hope she's home soon.

bumped due to press coverage...owner please enter microchip details as the halo scanner will inform us if dog is scanned by that type of scanner.
wizziwongles
Hi, thanks for your comments - no news whatsoever. The Surrey Ad did a story about how we think she has been stolen - not a dicky bird in response. Our only hope is that she turns up at the vets. I must have emailed every vet in a 30 mile radius but unfortunately they don't routinely scan new pets in so if her 'new' owner seems legitimate they won't think to scan her. Sadly.
Snowy
Checked on Kizzi's facebook page, still no news. So sad, I keep checking back for an update hoping it will say she has been found. I hope her chip brings her home soon. xx
Jayne
I'm so sorry to see your Kizzi missing. Totally heartbreaking :( I have added to tweets on my chi twitter account @Find_Phoebe I really hope it helps you get your baby home :( xxxxx

Hi Wizziwongles
I have let lots of doggy friends know about Kizzi some have facebook & going to spread the word others live Clandon have you any traveller sites near you it maybe worth putting some posters up near there local pub? I'm also looking on epupz/gumtree/pets4homes x
wizziwongles
Any postering would be fantastic thanks very much, I have done Ranmore Common and a little elsewhere including the local vets. The police say that the cctv of the cars could be helpful to individual officers who happen to have their eyes on particular 'characters' if you know what I mean. They think she has been stolen for order so we have to rely on her chip getting her home to us, although of course posters still promote her profile.....

Wizziwongles sorry haven't heard about the stolen dogs outside the parrot? Is there anything else we can do to help anymore posters printed & put up ect did you get anywhere with the police & the CCTV?
Snowy
I really do hope that the CCTV will help bring Kizzi home. Please do let me know if there is anything i can do to help.

Do you have any more information about the stolen dogs near Cranleigh? There are so many of these going on in this area at the moment, it is terrifying! If only these heartless "people" cared about the pain they cause! :-(
wizziwongles
Have you heard about the two gundogs taken from cars in The Parrot pub near Cranleigh? It may be the same people doing this as they will be worth a lot of money.
wizziwongles
Thanks, all support is greatly appreciated x

Wizziwongles I totally understand you just want your baby back fingers crossed that the police can help with the CCTV & glad to help if needed
wizziwongles
Hi, no she was taken from my garden - she went out for a wee and didn't come back. We live next to a green lane and the 4wd cars go by regularly so I suspect she got out onto the lane and was taken. She never wanders off - it isn't in the makeup of a Chihuahua to go far from their owner. Thanks for the offer of help, I am talking to the police at the moment as we have CCTV footage of 3 cars going by at the time of her disappearance and so they are very interested in that. Lets hope someone realises how loved and missed she is and takes her to a local vet or dogs home so we can have her back. I don't care about prosecuting anyone, I just want her home.

Hi wizziwongles really do feel for you I'm not really sure where Ranmore common is do you think it possible she could be lost there or someone has taken her in I am more than happy to help poster or put through letterboxes also worth letting your postman know local shops pubs battersea ect if you haven't already? Kizzi is quite distinctive so I hope someone will see the posters & realise she is missing xLast edited: 2013-02-28 11:55:38 by Bobsmum, Helper, Surrey

Thank you everyone for all your advice and help. We have checked out the Polegate dog, not her unfortunately as they already have the owner but well worth the call.

Lost of people from London come on here as they use the green lanes (we live on a green lane) with their 4wd cars so if she was stolen she could easily be in London too.

It seems such a mammoth task though not knowing where to go next and what to do. So sad.

Hi so sorry this has happened, Kizzi looks a lovely little girl & quite distinctive with the white sock on front left leg I will stick some posters up Woking/Guildford areas more & more people are being made aware of dog thefts so fingers crossed she's home soon x

I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. As you think she's been stolen it's really worth checking out Gumtree etc. Hope she's home soon.

I am so sorry, i can't imagine how hard it must be. There does seem to have been a number of thefts around at the moment.

I will tell everyone i know to look out for a dog being sold in the area. Have you put any posters up? Someone may recognise her if they have been approached. I guess you have already reported her as stolen to the relevant authorities?

At least she is microchipped, that gives her a much better chance of being found. I really hope there is some positive news for you soon. x
wizziwongles
No she was taken from her home - she went outside for a wee and never came back. We live on a green lane and people pass by all the time quite legitimately. I am sure she hasn't wandered off - Chihuahuas stick like glue to their owners and she never has before. I am hoping that someone will be offered a female for sale and it will be her - she is show quality and tricolour so very desirable although she is just a loved pet to us. I feel so helpless and am out of my mind with worry for her. Thank you so much for your offer of help. I often get people knocking on my door to see if I have seen their lost dogs - I see the loss in their face but I never thought it would happen to me. Sometimes I can help but I think this area is being targetted by dog thieves as it is affluent and lots of pedigree dogs are walked here. Those poor little souls.
Snowy
Is there any more information on where Kizzi was lost? Was it whilst on a walk? Would she know her way home? Why do you believe she was stolen?

I live near Polesden so will keep looking for her, just if possible need a few more details to see if i can help.

Fingers crossed she is found soon. X
