you could give the dog warden on the link a ring and check this dog out as it was found on same day as yours is reported missing. this one is in Welwyn but not far from you http://www.animalwardens.co.uk/lost-found-dogs-search?sobi2Task=sobi2Details&_____catid=0&sobi2Id=52205

Hi Deenah,
Is there any chance you can put a photo up so I can print out a poster to put up around Hartham Common when i walk my lot at Lunchtime, Posters with photos always get more attention from other dog walkers.
Many Thanks
Karen

Thank you Kim for your wonderful advice i did ring the local council in and around the area.
i also spoke to the kennels that they use...i cant do all the work yiou have suggested as i work
full time and im a single mum so my time and resouces are limited.i did knock on few doors in area but none
has seen him.i feel he may have been picked up soon after he went off running and so could be anywhere.
cos he was sooooo attractive and amazing dog i think someone thought it is christmas and kept him!!
warmest wishes and much appreciation Deenah xx

Emailed owner. Owner, you need to constantly ring all rescues and kennels in area and surrounding area dog wardens as well as your own. Sometimes with so many dogs, kennels might forget so you need to remind them & as he hasn't got a chip it is even more important. You can do this. The biggest thing you can do now is to make this sweet boy so famous he is too hot to handle, okay? POSTER like mad everywhere. Read everything in the advice I have sent you and tick it all off one by one. Huskies can run easily 15 miles, or more, although I suspect he would probably be within a 12 mile radius, so you need to poster a 12 mile radius! I know it's hard work but this is how you get sightings and how you can find your boy. Come on Malachi, where are you sweetheart? x

I'm sorry to hear that Malachi is missing. It is probably a silly question to ask and no doubt one of the first things you would have thought of, but have you checked with the Blue Cross at Kimpton, in case they have been alerted to him (or he has been handed in there). Put as many posters up as you can, especially around the Ayots, since they are very popular with dog walkers. Also any vets in the area. I do hope you have some news about him soon and that he is back home in the warm with you.
