Sorry I couldn't see what collar he had on but I think his lead was red. I'm saying he, but to be honest I couldn't see whether it was male or female (if you know what I mean!!). I will try and stop if I see the two of them again but as I mentioned, it is a bit tricky round there with the roadworks and traffic light and everything. I was actually on the opposite side of the carriageway this morning on the way to work! Anyway I'll stop babbling on Lol! Good luck with the postering and I hope you get some good news very soon xxx
radcades
thank you so much for the info did u notice if he was wearing a collar or anything, I will defo fo up there and put some posters up, if u see him again is there any chance u could ask him where he got him from, as we r all staring to give up hope, thanks again xxx
rescue_mum
Don't know if this is significant or not but this morning about 10am I was heading into town on the A689 and saw an oldish gentleman walking a dog which in my opinion looked VERY like Chucky. They were walking on the stretch of pavement that goes along past Queens Meadow Ind Est between the Truro Drive traffic lights and the Sappers Corner lights heading in the direction of Greatham. Unfortunately I was unable to stop due to the roadworks currently going on round that way :-( I see a few dog walkers on this stretch but I'd not seen this man (or dog) before. As I say, it may be nothing but it may be worth putting a few posters up in the bus stops and on the lamp-posts etc for this chap and the other dog walkers to see as some people have no idea they are meant to contact the dog warden when they find a dog and sometimes just keep them. Good luck xxxLast edited: 2013-06-10 18:18:06 by rescue_mum

rescue_mum
Hi radcades, take a look at found dog ID 52940 xxx
radcades
hi it,s not chucky, this dog was chipped long before he went missing, thanks for still looking anyway x
radcades
hi yeah we had chucky from a baby, but ur right someone could have had him chipped from when he went missing, im definately looking into it x
rescue_mum
I wondered about that too but I didn't know whether you'd had Chucky from when he was a baby or whether you'd got him from someone else or a Rescue a long time ago and he was chipped to a previous owner. There again, this one may have been chipped by someone who has taken him in since he went missing in January. Definitely worth going to see tho eh?! xxx
radcades
thanks, i thought that too, the only problem is, this little dog was chipped x
rescue_mum

rescue_mum
Sorry you've not found him yet. Make sure you put loads of posters up, local shopping parades, vets, stick one on every dog poo bin you can think of, everywhere there's likely to be people walking dogs. I'm sure you're right and someone has taken him in - just gotta make sure people know he's being missed by his family. I don't live in the town so can't help as much as i'd like but will continue to look out for him when i'm travelling to and from work. Hope you find him soon xxx
radcades
can,t believe he still not been found im just praying someone has took him in and are looking after him
radcades
thank you so much, and i will ask the building lads today xxx
rescue_mum
I've put a few posters up where I work on Usworth Ind Est so all the staff who live locally know to look out for him. Have you asked around at the new Yuills housing development on Loyalty Road, the lads there may have seen him, he might even have been accidentally shut in one of the houses they're building. Hope you find him safe soon, I will keep looking xxx
radcades
could everybody please check their gardens and sheds he has to be somewhere, we miss him so much and just want him back, thanks

Sorry to hear dear little Chucky is missing. Could do with finding out which area of Stockton Road he is missing from as it's a very long road. I work in Hartlepool so will look out for him tho hopefully he'll be home by Monday. Owner needs to check with neighbouring DWs as top end of Hartlepool borders Stockton whose strays go to Dogstrust and also Waterfall Kennels. Stockton strays number is 01642 526575. Hope he's found safe and well very soon xxxLast edited: 2013-02-02 16:43:38 by rescue_mum

Chucky is 14 years old and there has been no word of him since he ran off from his garden. His owners have contacted local stray kennels and their dog warden
They will try to upload a photo or send one into admin ASAP
Admin
Sorry to see that CHUCKY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (48185)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
