I understand. At the moment there is a photo on a Facebook page and little more information other than a vague reference that he is in kennels. (p.s. I did not add him though but recognise him from the FB page which was why I looked on here)

squeeker43 - so sorry if my comment was picked up the wrong way. It was really just a query to clarify things so that I could help further. At Doglost, where we are very experienced at re-uniting dogs with owners & we know that some people have no idea that they have to inform police- by law. If we know where the dog is after it has been found, with our resources at Doglost, we can take it further to help owner and dog be re-united.I was thinking along those lines.Last edited: 2013-01-28 16:07:25 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

Absolutely.... all help is needed Reggiemollieros....I think Linda was merely asking where you got the info from so she could look further into it.

Take no notice Squeeker43, you have every right to post a found dog if you want to. If you, Doglost, want to have full control of who posts what then you need to change the site and make it so only admin can add dogs but as you rely on volunteers then you have to go with the flow and appreciate any help that is offered. Squeeker43, well done for trying to help! I am in Hertfordshire but have been doing loads of matching and posting up north for a missing husky, as certain dogs werent getting the help or advice. Also you quite right they can move or get dumped, we just had a dog stolen in Liverpool found in Wales. really hope this one gets to the owners x Last edited: 2013-01-27 00:53:32

I am unsure of whether he has been reported to police but can find out. Sorry if this is a inconvenience. Thought i could post it.

I wasn't aware of that. A lady on Facebook posted it on her page. Its on a page called help to rehome Scotland. This is what is paid
This dog was found sleeping in a garden in Charleston Road, Dundee this morning. Can you please share this photo. The dog is now at local kennels in Dundee waiting for his owner. If he is not claimed within 7 days he may be rehomed by the kennels. But nobody had posted it on here. So i thought i would to try and relocate owners asap. As they must be missing there dog. Also there is someone in somerset who lost their husky but it had been sold of so you never know it may be there dog. Hope

Squeeker43 may we know why the dog is posted by you - based in Somerset when the dog is in Dundee? Can you please also post where the dog is now and let us know whether the details been reported to police?
Admin
Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
